Question ???235/35 R19 on the fronts

guys, any thoughts on running this set up.. of course we are talking about m5 reps 35et on the front and 38 on the rears.

so for clarity:

235/35 front vs 225/40
255/35 rear

245/35 (25.8") and 255/35 (26.0") are closer in size than a 235/35 (25.5").

245/35 and 255/35 are my choice, closest to stock height (25.9") I've found.

Sure thing. The tool below is a great link for comparing sizes.

http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

Don't get me wrong I really like the look of the 235/35, but 1/2" is a BIG difference.

i held back on the 40 profile JUST to be even with the rears and less squared look.. 35 front and back thought it would look better on the rim itself too imo.

i could have ran 265/35 on the rears but i was trying to keep the tire width within close range. 225/40, 255/35 OEM specs>theres about 1 3/16 inch difference.. width on the rim setup has inch apart 8.5-9.5 clearly. so i just wanted to match those figures as well. correct me if im wrong, 235/255 matches that inch difference and i was happy with the comparison of the tires (off the car-top to bottom view) as you can see here. OVERALL, it was personal preference.. although 245/265 dnt sound bad either..

Just wondering as I've seen few F30'ers on this forum using the same size for the fronts already.

well in general running a thinner tire gives you less tire sway when cornering and improves handling overall. wider tires will cover more ground when cornering or take off for the rear, which grip the road better and also improve handling.

soo the advantage is better handling.
