2015 BMW 435M Gran Coupe (Tracking Shipment)
I ordered a 2015 BMW 435M Gran Coupe Carbon Black with Red interior and about every available option.
To track your new BMW Once you have ordered your new BMW you can obtain your production number from your secret agent. Proceed to https://www.bmwusa.com/secured/content/forms/login.aspx Register if you have not registered. Login and goto add vehicle, enter your production number. Once it has been added you can then select your new BMW from the track my BMW list. Once the page loads you will see your new BMW and it's step by step production process, PC users can right click and select view source. Press F3 to initiate a search and enter the following VIN_7 , you should then see the following line <input type="hidden" id="hdnTrackBmw_VIN_7" value="D000000" /> The value is the last 7 of your VIN D000000, copy this. Proceed to http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html Enter in the 7 digit vin, and fill in the security code to proceed, you will then have the full VIN of your new BMW but all you need right now is the last 7. Proceed to https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage Vessel Tracking (Use Cargo ID and enter last 7 of your VIN then press Track) From this point you can get the name of the Vessel your new BMW is being transported on, my new 2015 435m Gran Coupe was transported on the Independence ii. Proceed to http://www.marinetraffic.com/ (search for the name of your vessel) Here is where the Independence ii is today. http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/...date:lastknown Once your new BMW hits the port it could take up to a week to get to the dealer. This step is known as the Finishing Touches to make sure your new BMW is perfect, it's where they load USDM Software on to your new BMW, once complete it's then transported to your dealer, paperwork upon dealer receipt is about 4 hours. This write up applies to any BMW. Looking forward to coding my new 2015 435m Gran Coupe! |

Should there be a VIN available as soon as there is a production number? I ask because I tried exactly what you suggested and get nothing when I enter "VIN_7" in the search. My car is scheduled to go into production this week (third week of August) according to my dealer. So, I guess I'm asking if the car needs to already be in actual production for a VIN to appear, or should the production number alone be enough?

Call Customer Svc for better updates on your car's production and delivery status. They have much more reliable info than what is posted on the website except when your car is in the middle of the ocean.

Not sure why I am getting this message notification now but thanks!
The red definitely is awesome, I remember the day I got the car, I had an awesome experience, still loving it. I just coded my mirrors to fold, and windows up with fob, video in motion, other than that I ordered my car with nearly every option so no need to retrofit. If anyone needs help with anything let me know, I have a background in engineering. |

So 8 months later I bought an M4, lol, loving it, still working on removing the limiter. I've had it a few months now.

Did you buy an M4 in addition to the GC or did you trade it in?
Curious to hear your reasons (and post impressions), was the 4 unsatisfactory? Asking because I'm considering either new 4GC or used F80 or used E92 early next year.
