Medical kit?
My old E46 (and previous BMWs I've owned) has a medical kit under the front passenger's seat, which has come in very useful 2 or 3 times.
Does the F30 still have this, or is it another one of the useful items that's disappeared like the toolkit and torch? If it doesn't I'll make sure I remove the existing one when my F30 arrives. |

Yep, and I never knew there was so much in it. I was expecting a blunt pair of scissors, a couple of sticking plasters, maybe a sterile dressing or two and a pair of plastic tweezers.... but there's this lot...

Great. That looks similar to what's in my E46's kit. Nice to know it's still there.

On UK models. open the trunk and over on the right hand side there should be a black bag like this...
Not sure about the location for non-UK models though.

I will look again but don't remember seeing it. I know I have the toolkit over there but who knows I am rarely in the trunk.

Given that first aid kit, warning triangle and reflective vest are pretty much mandatory throughout Europe, I assume it is a Euro spec included.

Yes, it goes on the same side as the toolkit. However, US spec cars do not get a first aid kit. So unless you pick up your car on European Delivery, you will not receive the first aid kit.

I guess thats why the roadside assist number is there. If you need first aid then call that number.

Some how I feel cheated. Next time I hurt myself I won't go running to the trunk.

From everything I have read its a UK only thing as well as the Reflective Triangle. We can probably buy the kit from BMW for a "small fee", but it would have been nice if our "luxury" cars came with them.

Canadians don't get it coz everyone has health insurance. US don't get it coz no one has health insurance but there is an ER around every corner where they are obligated to treat u then u can ignore the bill they send u. Probably Obama care will make it mandatory for bmw to put 1st aid kits in our cars. :

I'd rather have the US Spec standard audio system with woofers under the front seats (I believe) than the UK spec standard with a medikit =p
I even used the word 'trunk' in my original reply since this seems to be a majority US forum. My native tongue would have called it a 'boot' |

I guess for any US owners who haven't taken delivery yet, you could always ask your dealer to throw in one of these to sweeten the deal?
