All LCD's, by design, have polarizing filters. At some angle to the screen polarized sunglasses will block all light from the LCD. There is no solution as long as LCD screens are used, which will be for quite a while seeing as how OLED screens are rendered nearly useless by sunlight.

With minor tweaks (i.e. more angled towards driver), I bet this will be the interior of the F30.
I could go for that...

The car is still 2 to 3 years away (depending on model). Why bother?

I knew I should have expanded on that statement, lol! What I mean is, why bother speculating the interior/exterior/model designation. Testing wise, its good that they are off on an early start.

Horrible headlights and tails. The tails look like wanna be ferrari tails. Atleast under the camo , I'm sure it will look good when we finally see it uncovered.

Can't seem to like the new BMW steering wheels! Love the current e8x, e9x... And the fact that they've set the CC to the steering wheel is also bad, cause i realy like the lever, like in the Mercs.

I think what he mean was, are you sure the car is that far away? According to SCOTT it will debut at Geneva, and the OP mentions this as well. So really we're only a year and half away from the public debut, and we will probably have full press release and details at least a couple months prior to that if not more.

I do agree that the model designation might not be 335i but instead 340i. I also wonder if the part about naturally aspirated motors is accurate as well. If they keep the naturally aspirated motors, it will be interesting to see how they are positioned against the turbocharged motors offering essentially the same performance.

Would not be surprised if BMW used 1er interior on F30 as a cost cutting measure lol!

But that would suck.

Next generation BMW 3 Series is due out in 2012. Built on a new modular platform, the F30 3er models, returns to the “slimmer look”, dynamic lines with squat proportions and short rear overhangs.
The typical proportions of a 3 Series remain, but the exterior design is more toned and muscular, bringing some the aggressiveness and design lines seen in the recent models, including the F10 5 Series.
BMW is getting back to basics with clean uncluttered shapes, plus lower and wider kidney grille openings. The sedan model has a longer wheelbase, at least 1.5″ longer than the current generation. The F30 will sport a “pushing nose”, somewhat similar to the E89 Z4 front-end.

I wouldn't say its a terrible design... but I thought the new 3 series would look much better than this.

is it me or the tail lights look like a cross between the infiniti g37 and the land rover lr4? i can imagine the g37 fan boys... "wow bmw copied our taillights".

i hope they use the LED tube tail lights used in other bmw models, just used in a different way
