Pirelli Cinturato P7 in winter

I recently bought a whole set of these run flats.
They are suppose to be all season tires however i barely get any traction on a thin layer of snow.
Very hard to reach 15 miles per hour from stop at traffic light. Even then i would be slipping.
These seem like worst then cheaper tires i had before.

Could it be that these are still fresh out of the box?

With Michigan weather man, You need winter tires lol. I have a set of OEM 397 BMW Sport line wheels for sale, great for winter set. I run blizzaks and never lost tractions unless I floor the car, and even then it grips and Id be flying down the road.

Yeah but i'm talking thin layer of snow. My other cheaper tires handled more than 10 miles per hr. lol
Not sure if new tires have less traction on snow

I want to say new tires are indeed coated in oils for storage so they don't dry out.... That being said I have pirelli p7 aswell in my summer set up and they handled like crap even with alot of miles on them. Forcing me to buy blizzaks. I would wear them down for a couple days and see how you like it , in my opinion it won't be much of a difference since p7 are technically a high performance tire all season tire.

The mileage always varies with all season tires in colder climates, like Michigan. There is really no substitute for winter tires. I had excellent experience with Pirelli Sottozero 3 tires.

Just to confirm: your vehicle has different tires - Pirelli P Zero in the rear and P7 Cinturato in the front?

For what it's worth... I bought my CPO '14 328i X-Drive with Cinturato P7's on all four corners. I also found them to be TERRIBLE in snow, ice, wet, whatever. I just noticed a bulge and gash in the sidewall of one of them and finally had an excuse to get new tires. I had Continental DWS-06's installed today, and am waiting to pick it up after work. I had fantastic results with these tires on past AWD cars, year-round, and don't expect anything different on the BMW. Just need to put a can of slime in the trunk and make sure my AAA membership is current.

Ive driven thru 3 storms in a couple weeks and have had no problems on these Pirellis so far, I don't think there bad at all but then again I believe my tires are super new.

I've read various opinions on the Pirelli tires in the snow. Has anyone tried the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ ZP run flat tires in light snow?
Thanks.
