Delivery Compensation

I am asking for advice from experienced BMW buyers.

My 2016 3GT, which I ordered mid June 2015, was expected (according to the sales staff) at the end of August. I tracked the production and it was as quick as I thought it could be until it reached Bremerhaven. The issue is that I had to surrender my trade vehicle at the end of June as I had negotiated a rather favourable trade-in value. This was not a problem based on a 31 August delivery. I was quite pleased with the trade value and happy to ride my motorcycle through the summer.

We are now 3 weeks passed the due date and efforts to induce delivery have failed.

I have advised my sales person that I require a car by 26 September. Is it realistic to expect the dealership to provide a loaner, at their expense, when they miss the 8 week delivery date by 4 weeks?

Your advice, please.

They should be able to at the least provide you with a service loaner. I'd take it up with the sales director.

Thanks. That is what they have done. I only need it for about 10 days.

I dont see why not. They gave me a loaner while they powder coated my rims and tinted my windows for 2 days when I bought my car.
