I'm apartment hunting in the OC area and looking for places that will let me wash my car. Apparently, this is an extremely rare feature to have.

The feedback that I got from various apartment managers was that it's a city ordinance, but wanted to get feedback from some local folks here.

Besides a community policy prohibiting it, could this mean a resident could bring their own hose and car wash supplies?

I can see the legal differences between community management providing a dedicated car-wash stall and a lone resident bringing their own supplies and accessing running water. But not too sure if the exception is meant for individual home owners.
