Have to say I was not impressed by the new 4. It feels like a definite step backwards in terms of build quality and refinement. Closer to the 1 series than 5 series!

in the cabin, similiar feel to it (my wife has a M135i). I couldn't get any more pics as I had a 200mm lens.

It doesn't feel as good as the E92 inside for sure though.

Are you comparing the backwards step to the F30 or the E9* cars?

F30 3-series is no small 5-series for sure, neither were the E9* models. So wouldn't expect the 4-series to be either, as it is only a variation on the 3-series.

Personally I rate the F30 as a far better car than the E90, both in design, layout and driving. Build is very similar from getting hands on both and a bit of close scrutiny.

No more pics of the 4 sorry i just could take any with the lens i had.

Yes I realise the 3 has never been the 5 interms of build quality.

However in my view this car feels like the quality has moved towards the 1 series rather than towards the 5 series. The interior quality is no where near the E92 in my view and is more like the 1series F20.

my wife has f20, i have E92 and F10M. Have spend some time in a F30 and the more I do the more I think its not as good as the E92.

Neil.

I like F32 exterior but I'm truly disappointed with the interior, to be honest with you the materials looks cheap, specially the seats .

Just look at E350 coupe interior! I was never fan of MB but they've done a good job with the new E-class coupe.

I have a mb e350 coupe in the family and trust me it does not compare to bmw or my F30. The thing feels like a tin can, the dash is so plain with its inch a half of wood grain they could spare you. For the price the car is its so underwhelming, and the tiny nav screen looks lost. I cant stand to drive it.

3/4 series competes with C-Class sedan/coupe

I just drove the new CLS550. My 335i steering felt better and I could not use the navigation. Worst nav system I have ever experienced. It's a POS. the 335i being lighter handles better too.

That's where the negatives end though. Beyond that my 335 is just a POS compared to the CLS. Lol

Agreed. Also, compared to the new Jaguar F-Type or a Range Rover Sport, the 3/4-Series interior seems sub-par.

Any other cars which are not competitors to the 3/4-Series we can compare interiors with?

We all know that BMW is superior in driving experience and technology to MB and believe me I will pick BMW any day over MB. The new Jaguar F-Type or Range Rover Sport costs more than 4er but E350 coupe ($52,200) is almost in the same price range as 435xi ($ 48,000).

Jesus... There are people here comparing the interior to an E350. Do you have any idea how much an E350 cost?

These angles of the msport looks real good but there are some street shots on here that make the new 4 look like a rice rocket
