Surplus of 7R's expected shortly

Breaking news - VW dealers are expecting a large number of cancellations of new 7R's after Phones 4 U went into administration. Out of the 550 stores, it was estimated that 400 7R's had been ordered by the store managers. An exit poll of the managers had previously shown that 90% (all aged 35-40 and called Kevin) wished for nothing more than seeing the plethora of exhausts and the jewel like interior every day when staring out of their bedroom windows at their parents driveway.

Ha! Like this.

I am nothing short of bemused how so many on here seem to think a golf r is even comparable to the f30. When the sales guy was telling me one was basically going to all but cost the same as my 335i, I literally laughed. When he asked why I was laughing I explained my bmw quote, and he had no answer.

It may be a good car, but it is still a golf and still a hatchback - which is ok if that's what you want, but it is like saying my donut tastes better than your three course banquet so your meal is shit.

Bloody things will be as common as muck! And now the crazy business lease deals are back on the table though not as good as the ones in June when a 5 door manual R in Rental Red was going for £172 per month.

Just imagine that such a humble hatchback in Rental Red is going to fart in the faces of most, nay all, F30s (mine included) when it flies off into the distance. How very embarrassing.

BTW, I read somewhere that 5.3% of all Golfs are Rs vs 2.3% GTIs and over 13% are GTDs.

Lastly, I love my F30 so much that I might just keep it. Which makes me a greedy so-and-so.
