Classic. However I do feel for you. I had to get a bus today! Still in trauma, other than trains not really tried public transport. Hopefully that is my last requirement of using a bus for a while. |

Given a good launch both cars are in the 5s to 60 and 14s to 100......then when the road gets twisty, I'm gone.... |

My BMW dealer, Berry BMW Chiswick, charged me £14 per day for their own Insurance for a 116d courtesy car. They refused to insure the courtesy car on my insurance. Company policy it seems. Oh, they were so fraudulent in saying that the courtesy car was free! So I politely declined their very kind offer.

Funnily enough, on Monday next my diesel goes in for some more radio work they've leant me a 328i. I don't know if I'll cope ..... I've obviously got some clout with my dealer and no charge.

Funniest swap I had was when my Carlton GSI went in for some minor repair to bonnet.
Bloke pitched up with a small truck for my car, on the back of his truck for me was a fiat cinquecento, bloody tiny and I think a 900cc or something stupid. My Carlton actually hung off the end. Fun little car though but zero power and bloody small. |

So you got an upgrade for a loaner, lucky for you. OIL BURNER. The sweet sound, and sweet smell of Diesel. Some people have all the luck!

But we are on a BMW car forum where many BMW drivers want much more from a 3-series than what the 320d offers. HighlandPete |

What Nick the Greek isnt mentioning is how staggered he is by how little fuel the 320d is using compared to his 4-pot petrol.

I'm sorry.
If you've never driven a petrol car, I'm sure you'll be very happy with your 320d. If you have, I'm sorry if I'm insulting you, but I just don't understand how you stand driving it. Few miles this morning. Me and the dog went to order new floor and wall tiles for bathrooms that are being refitted. Dog started howling along with the diesel grrrrrrrrr. Gym this afternoon and then golf club now. Most strange cars to drive, very easily caught off boost, very inflexible, strange non linear response to gas peddle, did I mention the noise? |
