Chances of an 330i/430i PPK ?
The hp-gap between 330i/430i and 340i/440i seems big enough and higher output versions of the B48 with ~306PS up to ~350PS are allready planned/confirmed(?) for .35i and M35i models based on the UKL Platform ... so an PPK with 286PS seems easily "makeable" if BMW decides to do so and close the big gap in the F3x engine portfolio on the aftersales market over BMW M Performance.
So the only question is if BMW will take this opportunity to bring an second gasoline PPK, which will have probably good chances to sell good enough to make some profit !? |

I think it is a great chance for them to make some money, but If they start logically charging $1,500+ for this BMW probably assumes most folks would just spend that money on a _40i product.

With the way BMW has been doing business lately, i would not be surprised if we get the PPK soon on the 330/430

I'm actually driving a sport line 330i right now as a loaner while my 340 is getting serviced. It's actually not bad out of the box, better than the 320 loaner I had previously. The 4 cylinder is lighter and more tossible than the 6, but can't match the raw power and acceleration, not to mention the exhaust note. I also have 19s on my car which enhances the handling.

It's not happening. Just like it never came out for the N20/N26.

Don't see it happening. Don't think there is a market for it big enough to justify federal certification & parts stocking. Most buyers made their performance level choice when they went with the 4 cylinder car.
Also they are not going to close the performance gap between the 330 & more expensive 340.
