Apologies for this, I have tried searching but couldn’t find the answer.
Having real trouble getting launcher premium to work due to the date error. Can’t get the script to re arm to work either and now the whole things crashing.
E sys works and connects to the car etc so (having never got it working) what is it the launcher actually does? Are there things I can do without needing this token, or will nothing work?

And if anyone knows the answer to the bonus round - this is all because I’ve upgraded from business nav to the 10.25” screen and I need to change some settings for it to work as it’s currently blank so I have no screen

Yes, you can use E-Sys without Launcher.
The Launcher is only needed for FDL coding.
Without Launcher you can Code ecus or change the VO and code the desired ecus.
The problem is, for your project there is no VO code available.
So however you need the launcher.
How old is your cars software?
If it's an older software (before 2016) you can try to use EsysPlus 2.8.

Yes, the only way to change the screen resolution is via FDL coding.
EsysPlus is another Launcher from a chinese developer, which is also working (for cars with software until 2016) and where you don't need to change the date.

If I want to make stop and go off by default, and digital speed always on, on my F20, is it possible with E-sys without launcher ? Model is 2012 .

The old Launcher Pro 2.8 from TokenMaster should still work for pre-2019 cars (link below video).

I tried the launcher you mentioned but I got error when click ( app launch ) from the launcher pro menu.
So the only way is to open the e-sys app myself. So I lose FDL coding option.
However about the bimmercode thing, I bought Vgate iCar Pro for 25$ ! I didn’t know there were less expensive ones.
What OBD ELM for 3$ you are sure it would work with bimmercode?

Should try and see if the Vgate OBD works first. I have one of the more expensive OBD modules, but did not work well. The cheap ELM327 is not listed as compatible, but it works for me.

As far as the Launcher Pro 2.8. Follow his instructions step by step. Take it slow as not to miss anything. I installed it two weeks ago and works, starts up fine. But I use Bimmercode, so I do not use Launcher Pro.
