Earlier today I posted this on another section of the forums. After getting no responses I started looking around and the coding section seems to be a better fit. I'm a little out of my league here- you guys are way smarter than I am and hopefully someone can help me. Here is my original post:


Hey guys,

I recently had some problems with the basic cluster in my 2013 328i. I replaced the cluster with a 6WA cluster and had Code My Bimmer (they did a great job) code the new cluster to the car.

After the cluster replacement, everything works great except for the cruise control. Turning on cruise control works but when I press the button on the steering wheel to set the speed, it comes up with "cruise control can not be activated". Cruise control worked fine right before the cluster replacement.

I let Code My Bimmer know and they told me the integration level needs to be upgraded since the integration level of the cluster is higher (newer) than the I-level in the car. This makes sense to me but I don't know where to start. Can you guys give me some direction on how to upgrade the integration level? Maybe the cruise control problem can be solved another way? Thanks!

-WinKFP 5.3.1 (not sure how to use)

Hi,

You need to flash your car.
But you should try by flashing with esys.
Winkfp is not what you need for flashing F-series.

You can first begin with flasing your NBT, ICM, DSC and FEM_BODY

Problem is caused by ilevel difference between gateway and KOMBI.
You need to flash both KOMBI and FEM_GW to same ilevel but is recommended to flash complete car to latest ilevel.

Winkfp is for flashing E series cars, you will need Esys with full psdzdata to flash car.
