Map/firmware update

Hi

Need to update my 2013 nav/firmware, does anyone have any tutorial links or advice on how to do it? I saw someone use a USB but you need to get the FSC code (where can I get the code from)?

Car's nav upgraded today. Just need to take it for a drive to check out the improvements. No doubt, just new roads on the map.

For all those looking for map updates, I suggest you contact dracon@gmail.com via your personal email address.

For US$ 50.00 (approx A$ 73.00 with forex charges through PayPal) he will provide links to the 2016 Aus/NZ maps and will also provide an FSC code after you provide him with the last seven characters of your VIN.

You will need to download the map files via uTorrent and you will also need a blank USB with 32 GB capacity.

Just downloaded and installed the 2016 map files (NBT NEXT). Dead easy to do. Took about 5-10 minutes after putting the files on a USB.
The files were smaller than I was lead to believe (4.8 GB) and only required a 8 GB USB.
I also found out that, in my case, the files loaded without the need to input an FSC code.

The service from Dracon was excellent......really quick and very straightforward. Highly recommended.

I expect that your navigation system will prompt for the new code in the next day or so, keep it handy.

Some cars have the fsc code installed pre delivery, will definitely need it next time though.

I recently installed my 2016 Premium Australia / New Zealand maps. The first upgrade since I bought my car in October 2012.

Took maybe 10-15 mins. I checked the software details after the simple install. All good.

However, everything about the maps is EXACTLY the same as previous. No doubt it will include all streets, roads and motorways my previous map version didn't have, including Mornington Peninsula link.

Yes, I definitely needed to input the FSC code.

Certainly would be compared to USA and Europe maps.

The following day I had to input the FSC code.

Sadly the 2016 maps does not include the Dingley bypass (Melbourne) I still travel cross country, according to the map. Only a short distance, so no big deal.
