[TUTORIAL]Retrofit rear lights BMW F30/F31/F80 LCI

Here is a complete TUTO to mount new full LED taillights for BMW F30 /M3F80

For BMW F31 is the same, there is just the exterior lights that are different

Left outer side taillights (63217372209)

bmw see if gutters are 2 to change

[BUY]
Here are the reference pictures and pieces to buy

Outside left side taillights (63217369117)

And cables to power the internal fires right and left towards the box next to the battery

[REMOVAL]
Removing hinge filling:

Removing side trim battery:

Removing Tailgate trim and fires:

[CHANGE] Before making the changes you must unplug the battery +

Here the change to External lights on right and left

there is just a move son as indicated with the homing

Brown to No. 3
Gray / purple to No. 4

Right light:

Black / Gray to No. 1
Black / blue to No. 2
Brown to No. 3
Gray / yellow to No. 4

this photo shows the original location plug as above

Now he'll have to take that leave 2 son of internal fires left and right side to the rear case REM located next to the battery

This manipulation was used to transplant on foreign flashing

Right socket box:

Son connect purple / gray location 1 to REM(A174)prise(A174*14B)black / gray location No. 12

Left socket box:

son connect the blue / red location 1 to REM (A174)prise(A174*12B) black / white location No. 17

Photo of the socket located on the rear casing

Here the change to the interior lights left and right with the new outlet box (61136984758)

2 connectors that will connect to the rear module, the other 8 are the original ones that must be removed from the old black jack (4-pin) to the new green connector (6 pin with 1 not used)

Left light:
connector and cable add
son blue / red slot No. 1 to the REM box (A174) taken (A174 * 12B) black / white location No. 17

connector has moved from the original black jack (4-pin) to the new green jack (6-pin)
black / purple to No. 6
Brown to No. 3
Yellow / black to No. 4
Green / yellow to No. 5

Right light:

Green / red to No. 5
Brown to No. 3
Yellow / purple to No. 4
Black / blue to No. 6

[CODING]

The coding of new fires is not required, since there is no error on the idrive but against there will flicker flashing at each startup

If like me you do not want flickering lights here is the mod has to do with the E-sys software

Flashing Rear:

REM 3061 FRA_H_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM 3061 FRA_H_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM 3061 FRA_H_L_IS_LED /aktiv
REM 3061 FRA_H_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM 3061 FRA_H_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM 3061 FRA_H_R_IS_LED /aktiv

Reverse lights:

REM 3061 RFS_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM 3061 RFS_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM 3061 RFS_L_IS_LED /aktiv
REM 3061 RFS_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM 3061 RFS_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM 3061 RFS_R_IS_LED /aktiv

Brake lights outside:

REM / 3061 / BL_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / BL_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / BL_L_IS_LED /aktiv
REM / 3061 / BL_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / BL_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / BL_R_IS_LED /aktiv

Interior Brake lights:

REM / 3061 / BFD_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / BFD_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / BFD_L_IS_LED /aktiv
REM / 3061 / BFD_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / BFD_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / BFD_R_IS_LED /aktiv

Rear fog lights

REM / 3061 / NSL_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / NSL_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / NSL_L_IS_LED /aktiv
REM / 3061 / NSL_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / NSL_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG /nicht_aktiv
REM / 3061 / NSL_R_IS_LED /aktiv

Final result

There is also the possibility of adding the option as if the LCI rear lights were original
just add to the HO-wort (HELC) file and REM code
On the other hand, the 2 blue and green wires of the original bmw wiring (61122410220) are now connected to the A174 * 13B socket.
right side
blue wires location n ° 1 to the REM box (A174) socket (A174 * 13B) location n ° 5
left side
green wires location n ° 1 to the REM box (A174) socket (A174 * 13B) location n ° 13.

If After adding HELC and REM code it does not work check the following lines

REM_01 > LceLampMapping1 3062 > MAPPING_BLINKER_H_L_FIXED_PWM = fixed

Hey guys. I ran a new wire from each inner lci taillight to the box by the battery. Which slots do i put the wires in for the inner turn signals/ brake lights to work? The locations in this guide are currently already used in my F80 for the slot numbers.
Everything else is working besides that. Thanks!

Hello

Yep. Already had it done. Thanks anyways! Did your method use flashing or tapping for the inner turn signals?
