F36 440i Wheel Fitment

Hey all,

Apologies in advance if there’s another thread about this exactly, I couldn’t find one.

I’m looking to buy a set of Apex EC-7s for my 440i xdrive. Would 19x9.5 - 235/45/19 (front) and 19x9.5 - 265/40/19 (rear) fit?

Only going with 19x9.5 all around because Apex is back ordered for the 19x9 until May. (My current rims are almost ovals, can’t really wait that long ).

Would the fronts rub? Has anyone run this ferment before? Any suggestions?

I have a pretty aggressive set of wheels in 19inch as well. My experience might help you as I did a bunch of research (thanks alohasurftoad !!)

I run 235/40r19 (front) and 275/35/19 (rear). Wheels are Vorsteiner VFF103 19x8.5 +30 and 19x10 +45, respectively. My car is a RWD 440i F32 coupe so tire difference front to rear don’t really matter if they fit.

I don’t know similar the F36 clearances are but for the rear I would assume you will be fine. Depending on how low you go I doubt you will have rubbing.

However, I had some trouble with my fronts and had rubbing with the 235/40s. I rubbed through the fender liner near the side cam and sensor. A lower diameter tire might’ve help here.

For my next set of tires I will be going 255/35r19 and 275/35r19 since I can make use of wider wheels in the front.

Are you lowered at all? What are the offsets of the wheels? If your at stock height it may be alright but a safer bet would be to go slightly smaller tire. I would need to look at a tire calc but a 225 40 or 235 40 would be a safer bet if either of those sizes is readily available. Can you do a test fit and if it doesn't work then go down a sidewall size or are you ordering tires separately on your own?
