Yea seems that way.

That's why I've been saying to GSR I don't want more than 330lbft. It would be nice to get the whp up to 300.

I think the only way to get real power out of the N20/26 is a rebuilt engine with stronger bottom end and upgrading the trans. Otherwise you're playing with fire.

At that point you might as well say screw it and get an M car or something though .

Indeed let's not blow the N20/n26 engine, but it's already tunable to match the N55 stock.. Being lighter and maybe with a bit 10-20whp/wtq over the stock N55 we will be giving the stock n55 a good spank lol.

I hear that. Although if I remember correctly they currently tune it to a max of 330ftlbs. They were doing 340 but then lowered it.

Or he has his hands full with the engine rebuild....

So got word from Nick. Seems he locked himself out - got locked out of Bimmerpost. He's got back on 2addicts but still not back up on F30Post.

I think you might be doing 340 Max at the Crank since they're seeing these issues with hitting the torque limit at 350 TQ Crank.
Thats why the initial GSR Dyno 228 showed 349 wtq and VMRWheels 228 Dyno showed 330 wtq (recent)

This is where Stubok and us with the 93 octane are seeing some hesitations and studdering due to reaching the torque limit when it hits its peak. Especially those with downpipes are more prone to the issue.

I had the first version of stage 1 with 340lbs at the wheels. And then got it revised to the 330lb version. I have the same version as VMR. I was actually in the shop the same time as them. I saw it up on the lift (he was getting other work done as well). At 17% drive train loss with 330lbs showing from their dyno, that equals 386ft lbs at the crank. No stuttering. Oh and I do have the m4 plugs.

I'm staying away from down pipes for awhile. Heard too many issues at this point.

What was your boost difference from 340lb to 330 ?
And how much are you producing now ? 91 or 93 octane?

Hey I apologize, I got the dyno sheets mixed up. I see, what I think you were alluding to, that VMR has a DP and intake so his dyno sheet with the updated tune was 275/330. I talked to GSR just to verify what they think I'm putting out and it's more like 310-315wtq. (365 crank) (with my current setup)

I did have the 340wtq set up at first though. I actually prefer the way it's set up now. The power band smoother and doesn't lose steam up top.

I'm in California so 91 only. Also I got an OBD connector so I'll be able to see boost levels soon.
