I know dealers can trade allocations is this usually locally or can my dealer trade with out of state dealers? Chicago is a bit to far for me plus I had some issues with my current car so BMW is doing a trade assist and I think I have to do it with the dealer I purchased the car from.

I ordered it 10/15/12 Code 111 10/18/12 went to Code 112 Does it normally take another week for the car to go into production(Code 150)?? I'm thinking it has to go into production soon. I've been reading that there are lots of slots for PW45 which is next week, right?? This wait is going to kill me.... |

If it's a trade assist then I would imagine you'd have to buy it from the same dealer whom you bought the first car to be replaced from.

Was your production date on your Retail Sales Invoice or did your CA tell you this? I don't know why my CA can't tell me this. There is a week between now and PW45 too, right? I need to call this guy now. Everybody seems to know their production date except for me???? |

It takes 30 days of shipping from SA to Germany. That is the difference between SA and German built.

If this is true, originally he told me on my 10/15 order that the car would be here 12/14-12/18 which is all up in the air now. He can't even tell me when my car is going into production but he can estimate that my car will be here the end of December?? What an idiot I am.....This is just discouraging. |

That's BS, because each production number is assigned to a specific week. Tell him that if he can't tell you the production week, you need to speak to the manager.

Or call BMWNA and ask them. Then call your dealer and school them on how to run their shop. Still, they likely won't care. Most don't. Its a widget to them.

I called BMWNA yesterday and they told me the same thing as my CA, there's no production week and they have no idea when it will go into production. In my opinion, this is a HUGE issue for me. I agree with you. IF you get a production number, you should have SOME idea about when it's going to start production. Otherwise, what's to keep them from starting 3 weeks or a month or whenever to start your production? I think this is just BS and why I am having my CA find me a car similar to my build and just forgetting this whole order process. |
