How to make our cars louder?

Hey guys, so i just picked up a F30 335i and was wondering if there is any easy way to make the car louder. Is there anything similar to the gold tee mod like the previous generation?

Thanks!

There's a knob just next to the air conditioning controls to turn up the volume. There is also a steering wheel button.

The sales manager should have gone over these very obvious, simple ways to make your car louder.

A few other things you can do is push the pedal on the floor, the one on the right, so the RPMs go above 4000-7000.

I hope you can sense my sarcasm.

The golf tee mod actually worsens the sound in my opinion in the F30s, especially with MPE

Realistically, the ways are the same of any other vehicle. Exhaust, straight pipes, cat delete, arguably a new intake, or opening your windows!

good luck

Golf Tee works:

Start your car, set car to sport mode, let it warm up, and rev several times until the valve opens.

Reach underneath and disconnect the plug to the valve controller attached to the drivers side of the muffler

Wrap the live end with plastic/tape.

Well the first thing you do is Install an outside microphone and install. It right by the exhaust so when u drive around u just blast the speaker echoing the muffler ,,isn't that a great idea ,, ,,, then come back to the forum and post a video so we can all see it and if we like how it sound we can go ahead and do it to

Force the left exhaust valve open by disconnecting the plug. (store it safe & watertight).
If this isn't enough consider a new exhaust system. There are many out there but some has lesser drone than others.. Quality cost!!

Engine a turbo spool noise: get an open air filter

If you're doing the golf tee thing just make sure the valve is open with a flashlight, by disconnecting the plug you can also keep it closed too.

According to me, you should obtain a good result by simply removing the central resonator. The previous E92 instead of it had a simple X-pipe and the stock sound was pretty good.

DP + resonator delete + muffler mod. Practically a straight pipe setup.

Is the second pipe with the flap always open when in Sport/Sport + mode?

ExhaustMeister doesn't work with these cars? I pulled the one off my 750 and was planning on using it to open the exhaust flap with the garage door buttons. Its a much better solution than just disconnecting the flap.

The exhaust meister doesn't work for the f30. It is just a simple on/off remote to provide 12V. The f30 has a special type of valve motor that requires specific wave forms to be supplied to it to open or close the valve. Our VSC-1 controller works to control the valve for our VS-1 3.5" exhaust system as well as the factory exhaust and MPE.

Even in sport mode, the flap will still close on cold starts, on some deceleration, and in the lower rpm range of higher gears (depending on throttle position).
