M-Sport clobbering Sportline?

So is everyone and their mother ordering M-Sport over the Sportline trim, or is it just the nature of an enthusiast forum that it would APPEAR everyone is?

Up until M-Sport came out, seemed like the majority of orders and deliveries posted were Sportline. Now you barely ever see them!

Just curious if anyone knows what the actual market trend looks like.

I ordered the sportline 328. No regrets although the m sport is a looker as well.

Probably has more to do with the fact that this is an enthusiast board. I've only seen one M-sport at the dealer, and none on the roads.

I live in north nj where I see a ton of the current gen 5-series and e90s. I rarely see the f30 on the road, regardless of trim.

All a matter of taste and who posts. I looked at the M-Sport package and opted for Sportline due to if I was going to have the M badge, it would be on a true M car. I just need to come to terms with the cost adder for that badge. Who knows. I get a new car every 3 years. Maybe an M is in the future come 2015. Will have to see how the new M3 sedans look and are priced. But for all the 3-series cars I see on the road, I'm the rarity with the F30 and for all the E90's I see, fewer than 10% are M-Sport. I think many those who post on this site are the enthusiasts with the M-Sport and Sportline packages. But in the end, all are 3-series lovers.

Saw my first F30 on the LIE last week and got in front of it for about 3 miles. DID NOT LIKE the front end look AT ALL. Busy-/Dirty-looking between the headlights and grill. And the lower line across the bottom wasn't happening IMO. More dopey than aggressive looking. A Sport Line.

I moved over to let him pass the rest of the car and the rear looked pretty good.

I ordered an M Sport but that will only take care of the lower line issue.

It wasn't a happy spotting...

Mine is the only one in town thus far when I picked it up three weeks ago.

Reasons being, according to my dealer, the M-sport was only started production in July, which was when I ordered. Other lines have been available for a while.

Will see more over time

I have only seen 4 on Atlanta roads since they came out. But, I work from home so no regular commute. No m-sport sightings.

Since arriving on the market, my dealer is selling F30,s all Lines, but have only seen five on the road. One Sport-Line, two Lux, three base. However it's worth noting, the dealer is selling large numbers of five series.

You do know that there is no real m badge on any of the m-sports right? Except a tiny one on the steering wheel. I prefer the body style and the fact that its lower. That being said I am a young guy who likes flashy things yet still want the amazing mpg, either way I really like the new 3 series definitely an improvement from the e9x's

I actually see way more 5 series in LA. The only f30 I've seen here are bases, not even a sport. I think the people on this board are ones that MUST have an M-sport because of the looks.

One reason why I got the M-sport was for the color exclusivity. Everyone and their mom has a 3 series here (including my mom!). I love the EBII.

Door sills have the ///M as well as foot rest and wheels.

I ordered the Sportline since I wanted fog lights and I actually like the look of the bumper. The M-sport bumper just makes it look like a fake M3...sorry.

The only one I've seen around where I live besides mine is sitting on the dealers showroom floor. The other military folk seem mostly to be picking up sportlines.

the color exclusivity thing AND that awesome steering wheel.

plus it does look nice. the rims look nice. yes its $1200ish but i think worth it. dont think i'd be getting an F30 if it wasnt for m-sport honestly.
