Do you think it would be possible to get it with chrome accent? Can my CA make that change or request?
I hope this is not a stupid question!
Any input is appreciated.
I have asked the same question to my dealer. They can't order different color key's to replace the original keys. They can however order an additional key. I understand around €100 per key here.

Good luck!

Here is my take:

I rather take the red over the chrome. Chrome seems to be very tacky and ghetto in my opinion and people this is why BMW created lines everyone's taste is different.

Next you are going to say why did BMW use 18" alloy wheels that look cheap like a VW Gti 18" wheel! They have have put some chrome 22" on there!
Haha don't get me wrong here, I didn't mean to bash on GTIs as I actually love GTIs but I feel that there is a place for everything. I didn't say anything is wrong with the red stripped key but for a $55k car that seems a little out of place. It works with the new 1 series but for the 3er I dunno. The demographics of 3 series buyers varies greatly but a lot of times they want something sporty so I see where BMW is going with all these lines and the red themed sport line. I personally don't like to be force with the red stripped key and all the other bull that comes with the sport line. I would rather a regular 335i with the sports suspension and variable steering. But BMW is forcing the sport line on me ....that is what I have a problem with .......BTW chrome wheels is so 1995.

I agree with you and I'm in the old fart category (40). In fact, I got the red paint, red accent as part of the "mid life crisis" line... I think the red is aggressive which is what they are going for in the sport line.

Could you swap with someone on here one key then get it re-programmed?

Then you would have one Silver and one Red strip on your keys, could be quite helpful if your wife uses one color you use another.
