Write up had 56% residual. :/

"Drive off" was $4,954. Does that include the 7 MSDs (~$3100) plus dealer/doc fees?

it should if you told them you were paying the MSDs

not sure what the current residuals are, but they don't set them and can't change them. all dove by BMWFS

Anyone have a link to the different residuals for 2015 models? Why are these things so hard to find?

Here is the best thread to follow for that specific info.

Again I would recommend against putting money down on a lease. No real advantage. You can always take that same money and put it in a separate account and use it to supplement your monthly payment. This way no risk with early lease exit (turn in, crash, or transfer).

Sorry if this question has already been answered, but I hadn't seen anything on the initial post, and I didn't really wanna skim through 11 pages... If there is anything owed to BMWFS at lease turn-in (excess miles, wear and tear, disposition fee, etc.), is it due at the time of turn-in, or do they send you a bill in which you can make payments like any other loan?

Also, if you lease or finance another BMW, are those same fees (excess miles, wear and tear, disposition fee, etc.) rolled into the price of the new loan/lease?

I'm 90% sure I'll be in a bit of a hole at my lease end (Nov. 2017), and I just want to be prepared and make any arrangements, if needed. TIA!

It is my understanding that any owed amount is due at lease turn in unless new damage occurs after the lease end inspection. If you lease another BMW you can roll those costs into the new lease. I think the dealer pays BMWFS and adds it to the vehicle price. Similar to bring upside down on a trade.

Had a friend recently turn in a car that needed new tires. It was an Audi but they sent them a bill a month later.

The only thing I can see them charging you upfront for is miles as that's guaranteed to be over but things like wear and tear need an inspector so it takes longer.

This sounds correct. I'm just wondering about the lease inspection BMW has which is before you turn it in. I think anything they find there is billed at the lease turn in, but XRAVE may be correct in that it comes as a bill sent by BMWFS.

Again, this is in regards to a recent Audi lease return but they mentioned that the lease return inspection is done by the dealer so that the customer isn't hit with a bill for wear and tear, excess miles, damage, etc. without knowing about it. I guess they got too many complaints when a month later their hit with a huge bill. I know id be pissed

Also with Audi, that friend was able to negotiate the bill they received.

I would assume the lease turn in inspection for BMW is just to warn the customer because I know they always tell you that the BMW inspection might see something else or miss something.

I will start by stating this is a terrible deal. I didn't have to get any further than the absurd MF. They maxed it out. It should be 0.00132 as a base. Unless your credit is bad they are ripping you off. Also you should have a better buying price as its essentially a used car and being a loaner, probably beaten up by prior customers. If they can't move off of those numbers, I would run away from them. Glad you checked before signing off on this deal.

I agree, that's a bad bad deal. Car should be closer to $52k with those miles and MF with 7 MSD should be around $522 a month

lease takeover question...
if I am planning on taking over a lease from another state... any suggestions on how I can make sure everything is clean on the car?

what if I fly down to pick up the car, get in and find a big tear in the leather or a sizeable scratch that I didn't pick up on from the pictures? at this point the lease is already transferred and I'm SOL?

You can pay to have the car inspected at a BMW dealer (PPI). You can also ask for the car's service history which should also be at the BMW dealer the original owner is using.

Why is the MF that high? I got a 2015 335 MSRP $55,500 and I'm paying around $450 a month with $0 cap reduction. You can probably get it down closer to $490 a month. If you max out the deposits you can probably be around $450/month and get back over $3100 when you turn it in.

I was originally quoted .00172 MF from several bmw dealerships around the Dallas area. Reduced MSRP to compensate for the MF.

The reduced MSRP should be because it's a loaner with 5k miles on it. I got mine from Greg at Pacific BMW. He has a couple 428 factory demos on his site, might be worth checking out.

I'm actually looking to get the 428i for my wife and get the M3 for myself. I'll reach out to Greg to check out the numbers. Hopefully the savings can out weigh the hefty shipping charge.
