On line BMW parts?

Does this exist in Canada? Like getBMWparts, but as you know they can't ship to Canada.

fcpeuro.com ships to Canada. But you have to pay taxes...

What about bavauto.com? Never used them but pretty sure they ship up here and I've heard good things about them

Whenever I search by BMW part number they can't find anything.

No, they deal with mostly aftermarket replacement parts.

I know you may think I was just trolling you, but it was an honest answer. I have spent a great deal of time looking for and trying to get oem and aftermarket parts from online sources. The reality is that Canada is a forgotten market and sources down South sometimes can't ship. And even when they do, the international shipping charges and taxes when it hits the border are ridiculous. You are sometimes just better off shipping to a Kinek point - or something similar - and driving across the border to pick it up. Most US sources offer free shipping to the lower 48 states.

fcpeuro.com is an example that ships for free if the order is over a certain amount - free to lower 48 states...

bavauto.com does ship...was trying to buy some specialty tools from them because they had a great price...but they charge $40 minimum for any international order.

Why smuggle it? Just declare it. Even though there's 8% duty officially, based on my experience if you have a large bill, most of the time they just glance at it and slap on 13%, and call it a day.

Back then when the dollar was par, I just cross the border, ship a bunch of stuff to a mailbox and do a grocery run at Wal-Mart, and come back a few hours later. Hand them a stack of invoices and receipts, tell them the amount, pay 13%, end of story.

I use CBI in Niagara Falls, NY to receive my packages from the USA, so far they have saved me a lot of money on stuff I buy vs. shipping across the border and dealing with stupid brokers that charge too much for sometimes erroneous service. I'm sure there's similar services south of the BC border.

http://www.cbiusa.com/

I usually get my parts from ECS Tuning, Turner Motorsport, bavauto, and https://www.getbmwparts.com/index.cfm (the online parts department of a BMW dealer in Maryland). So far no problems shipping to CBI, sometimes with the first order they need to verify your credit card with your issuing bank and maybe fill out an online form.

When crossing back to Canada, I simply present a copy of all my invoices and pay the GST. It's a pretty quick process, I usually tally up the total in USD before I get to the border. Usually I'm in and out of customs in 5-10 minutes max.

The drug mule thing I was kidding about. You should always declare goods when crossing the border. It is not worth the trouble if you get caught.

It's all good. I normally ship to Point Roberts in WA and cross to pick up and pay duty. Just that it's a 9 hour drive for me to get to the border. Thanks for suggestions folks
