Not sure how relevant it is, but I just had it removed on my 335i. I didn't notice much difference below 3k, but if I get on it, it's slightly louder. Can't complain for a $40.00 mod.

i did mine as well as a muffler delete using a fabricated y-pipe.
i removed the 2ndary resonator. it sounds like a fighter jet when you WOT, inside the cabin. at first i didnt like it so much. sounds very "unrefined" for a lack of a better word... but it grew on me instantly and i like it a lot. as far as drone.. it is definitely promenant coming from stock. but this was what i was after and it may not be what others are looking for. cold starts and WOT are intoxicating and loud AF

Step 2: tell them to remove and weld in a pipe in place. Step 3: pay and leave. Step 4: enjoy

I can't understand paying $1500 for an exhaust system for these cars that MAY add 10hp. I didn't even spend that on my DP, CP, intake, and all the JB4 mods and that added like 150hp.

I totally agree with this. Most of the expensive catbacks dont sound good imo. I do like how mpe sounds with a catless dp but thats still $800+ for a axleback.

Somebody help!!
Has anybody done JUST a resonator delete? Not a muffler delete or cat delete or downpipe or any of that extra stuff. Has anybody done JUST a res delete? I want my 340i to crackle and pop louder than it does so i was thinking doing res delete. A muffler delete is way too loud. Will doing just a res delete get me where i want?

My thinking: upgrading to an MPE then removing the muffler basically makes the MPE upgrade useless no? Any thoughts? |

My current set up is cat delete with the stock MPE setup. Sounds great, clean crisp 335i sound, aggressive, decently loud with a lot of pops and crackles even before the tune! |
