Thanks for the comments everyone, this definitely polarises opinion!
The beige and black headlining doesn't look as bad as I thought from what I can see. Kinda blends into the dash.

I've got beige in my e60, done 150k, got a 3yo and it still looks good IMO. So don't have the concerns that some have posted.

RJBerry:
You are absolutely right you have the ultimate combination there IMO. Further proof that when BMW get something bang on they make sure they charge for it!

Anyway, ordered today - 320d M sport EBII on beige.
I had planned on going to town on this car, originally a 330d as well, but due to the fact I am going to rack a few miles on this and a real miss of getting my hands dirty with my last car have gone fairly basic on this and plan to get myself a toy. (Anyone know of a good E31 for sale? I need a v8 to compensate now!)

Got a cancelled slot so am looking at about 4 wk delivery.

I have a 328 Modern Alpine White with Oyster interior.
I find the light/light colour combination relaxing.
My wife thinks it looks glamorous !

Hi @rjberry,

Is that the Individual Cashmere Beige? Looks very nice!

Are the seat backs black (yuk) or do they match the beige?

Black hides coffee spills. I was so mad that I couldn't get Saddle with M Sport again!

Yeah Saddle Brown was nice especially with Alpine White exterior paint. I like the Oyster you can order on the 5 series M Sport but not sure why they don't offer this on the 3 series M Sport. Would look nice with Mineral Grey or Sapphire Black.

I had Beige interior in my E46 Sport in Topaz Blue. Never had any issues with keeping it clean or wearing jeans.

FWIW I changed the upholstery on my F34 M Sport from beige to black when I realized that the headliner wasn't going to match. I did look at a beige 5 series with an anthracite headliner, and it doesn't look terrible, but it was always going to have that WTF factor for anyone getting in for the first time.

I also found the black interior with burl trim really growing on me (at least based on web site pics).

US market gets a very different option list on colours and interiors than we do in the UK though...

Hi Saj

Yes it's the Individual Cashmere Beige and it is as nice as it looks both to feel and to sit on.

The seat backs are black which doesn't look as bad in real life. Attached is a photo that shows the backs of the seats

Thanks for the info @rjberry!

It's under serious consideration for my planned F30 EBII - was thinking black but want something lighter. Red looks good but is a bit boudoir-y.

Now I need to find a dealer that has Ind CB so I can look in person.

Thanks,

Saj

No problem, good luck with it all. Working out the colour combination is a tough job. Finding a CB to have a look at in person may not be easy either. Mine will be heading back to the dealership in Bristol soon but that may be a bit far to travel

My EB with beige leather due second week Jan. Agree, black too gloomy, and red a bit burlesque for me...

I love my beige and EB II. Having had 5 black interiors I don't know what I didn't do it earlier. You can see mine in post # 32

I think your 320d has the best color combo of all. I went for silver because I have so many dark blue cars before but my current car is my first with silver. I`m curious to see your next 335d because i love Moonstone too and it could look even better than your current car.

If I want something special to my interior, Iīll trade my alcantara seats to saddle brown leather seats. Itīs a strange that factory doesnīt offer saddle brown with M-sport. You have to do it yourself then.

Thanks, it is a beautiful combination which I love. I am still a bit sceptical about what the new car will look like but it's too late to change my mind now! This will be my first light coloured car in over 10 years so it is quite a change for me.

I had been looking at the brown interiors, if the saddle brown colour had been available in the Merino leather I may have been tempted. As it was I've played it safe and stuck with black. I have this voice in my mind though that says it's going to be very dark in there after such a light interior.

it's not easy to get things right but Tanzanite and Cashmere Beige comes pretty close

What type of mat is that you have in the footwell SimonB?
It certainly gives good coverage.

LOL, it's still at the dealers getting prepped. I assume it's one they use to stop that carpets getting marked while in transit.

You're the 2nd person to ask, maybe BMW should sell them to end users?
