MPE w carbon fiber

Just have the MPE with carbon tips installed on my f30. Loving the look of it and now wait for it to break in. when I picked up my car my SA told me explicitly that BMW has discontinued production of the carbon fiber tip and I am the lucky one. If you are thinking of getting it, You might want to hurry when they still last.

It took awhile for the exhaust to break in. Now that it has, it sounds pretty good. It's tame compared to what I'm used to. I came from an E92 with downpipes and exhaust.
That being said, there is no drone or weird cabin noise whatsoever.
Sometimes I wish it was louder, but I am happy with it overall.
I will have more fun with her during the spring when I can roll the windows down and mash on the gas.
I like that the different driving modes open up the exhaust valve. I get some nice burbles and pops with the car.

No drone whatsoever. Although I have noticed that the exhaust has gotten a little louder as it now has more than a couple of thousand miles on it, which is not a bad thing.
Has just enough cabin sound with the motor too. Whatever you listen to for music or radio will cover most noise from the car even on the lowest setting.
The F series are far more quiet than the E9X cars.

Doubtless.
A good and simple improvement of outside sound (and maybe cabin too) would come from removing central resonator
Maybe next year I'll do it!

I meant from the factory and without modding, the cabin of our F3X cars are much more quiet than E9X cars

Yes, but a friend of mine, who removed the resonator, told me that the inside sound has slightly improved
Anyway the only solution for me is ASD Active Sound Design: in M135i and M235i the cabin sound for me is perfect! It is not a virtual sound, different form the natural N55 sound, but it is emphasized! It is not something totally artificial like in the F80/F82.
