I had some time this afternoon to whip out the camera and take some shots up on the rooftop.

This is, of course, over a year after I got the car.

... and a bunch of mods added along the way. I tried to be subtle yet still aggressive at the same time. Does that even sound right?

Additions to date (exterior):
- M Performance Grilles
- BMS Tapered Matte Black Exhaust Tips (3.5")
- RW Carbon 3D Style CF Spoiler
- H&R Sports Lowering Springs (~28-30mm lowering all around)
- DINAN Camber Plates, Bump Stops, and Shockware, with street aggressive alignment
- 17.5mm spacers all around

... and a few more bits underneath:
- DINAN Stage 1
- aFe Momentum Pro-5R Intake
- ER Charge Pipe

Just like the construction in the background... there's still a little more left to come! Enjoy, and thanks for the positive comments!

Amazing!
Love that you got rid of all little inscriptions, especially the window GranCoupe one, which i really don't understand design-wise. Also, it helps alot that you don't have a registration number in front. I used to have that here in Romania years ago on my E39, looked really good, but trouble with police.
How's the car with Shockware?

It was actually quite annoying when it came time to wash the car and not being able to properly squeegie the glass where the GranCoupe badge was. That and the annoying gigantic xDrive badge in the back. So this became the first car I've ever debadged, and I love the results. Anyway to get back to the GC badge... I think the 6er GC executed it better.

Shockware works really well for lowered setups (with adaptive dampers) and IMHO a needed addition if you plan to lower your setup and gain a more taut ride. Plus with their recent price drop it's not hard to say yes!

Clean and tasteful...

How do you like Dinan S1? Any plans for S2?

DINAN S1 is pretty cool! I had some initial hiccups with "drivetrain malfunction" messages but DINAN warranty sorted it out (apparently it needed a software update). Yes it's $$ compared to the other options out there (I'm not interested in debating this in this thread), but their warranty coverage is worth it to me. I am actually contemplating S2 upgrade once I get an exhaust on board. I'll have to look into it further, but I think the cost to upgrade is just the difference in price between S1 & S2.

Love the color scheme and the subtleness of the mods that really stack up together. Like the drop and spacer. Love the stance! Any issues with rub on hard turns?

Thanks for the compliments! My goal was definitely to achieve a muted, modest set of visual improvements that enthusiasts would pick up on but otherwise still look like a sleeper.

I could have pushed the spacing out by another 2.5mm (by using 20mm spacers all around), but decided that 17.5mm all around was perfect. No rubbing during hard cornering or at full lock.

So to answer your question again (now that it's several months later)...

DINAN S2 now loaded in! Definitely another kick in the butt dynamometer compared to S1. DINAN software uploads really are a bear (since it can take several tries to finally get it communicating properly to the car - you can find some of my other thread posts about the subject), but once it's loaded in, all of the earlier frustrations go away during the drive home.

It's been a while since my last photoshoot but I will need to do another one again soon before the grey skies and rain dominate the area.

Yea I definitely want it pushed out a bit but not affect my drivability. I have 403m on a F30.. wonder if 17.5 would be viable for that platform too...

Best way to find out is to do the actual measurements on your car. 17.5mm worked for me due to the alignment settings I had done post spring install. What worked for me may not apply to you.

Give this a whirl:

I have a ZHP 435i with EDC and have been really racking my brain on what springs to go with. Are you still able to tell the difference from comfort to sport mode with your H&Rs?

I'm thinking about sticking with the complete Dinan setup... springs, bump stops, and shockware but am also entertaining H&Rs for a little more drop.

I drive almost exclusively in Sport Mode, but whenever I am entering rough road areas I switch to Comfort Mode. It's subtle but enough of a difference for me to switch when I need to.

You can't go wrong with your choice of springs... H&R, DINAN, etc. It just depends on how aesthetically lower you want the car to be.
