With German cars, I never buy any in its first model year or right after a complete redesign. I usually wait for all the kinks and glitches to be straightened out after 2 - 3 years, and that strategy has worked well for me. Waiting gives me time to look into the car's track records on sites such as this forum.

probably will, for the F30 M3, or maybe just the next Fxx 5 series.

^ This is the reason why I'm considering leasing another e9x for 3 years (I was going to buy) or jump into an Audi S4 for a few years.
Buying a 2011 model e9x, then have the F's come out 1-2 years later....talk about instant outdatedness. ...unless the F's end up butt-ugly, of course.

Nah... I'm kinda over my 3 series. Gonna hang onto this one and buy a 2nd older car as a track toy.

Not on launch (rule of thumb, never buy the first year a model comes out), but when it's time to ditch the d, it'll be a serious consideration (although, so is the F10).

Skip the Maserati. My neighbor has one and hates it. Beautiful car but a headache to live with.
I'm keeping my e92, it's becoming a weekend track car. Probably going to get the new 5er as a DD.
