Forgive my silly questions as everyone on here seems so knowledgeable. I've read through some threads but I'm still not clear.

I currently have a BMW 330d 2009 VIN A180860 E90 CIC and see the current map version is "Road Map Europe PREMIUM 2008-2".

I'd like to upgrade the maps and I noticed others mention a 2014 version. Do you know where I find this and which is the correct upgraded version? Also I see mention of an FSC code. How do I obtain this for my version of car?

You can update to Road Map Europe PREMIUM 2014-1, which is currently the latest release.

After my other activities, am finally getting around to update the maps in iDrive. As you can see from the attached photo, I have an NBT Head Unit and the maps are the ones that came with the car I picked up this time last year. Assume that the newest version of North America for NBT is 2015-1 or is 2015-2 out? Will the version still work with the female voice that provides directions audibly?

Would appreciate it you'd send me a PM with your contact's info. In that PM would you also let me know the procedures to get it and install on NBT -- having read this thread and its brethren in Bimmerfest seems pretty straight forward, but just want to make sure I got it straight.

As always, sincerely appreciate your super assistance!

Have a Mac. Downloaded the NEXT 2015-1 .rar files from the provided links... .rar 1) 4.29GB, 2) 4.29GB, 3) 4.29GB, 4) 4.29GB and 5) 2.63GB.
I am in the process of extracting these files and it looks to me like the extracted files from .rar 1) are the same as .rar 2) and .rar 3)

Did I do something wrong? I guess I was expecting many different files for each of the 5 .rar downloads... where can I go to get some help?

It is a multipart .rar archive, with one set of files spanned across many parts. Some files end up being split across multiple parts, so it appears that the same file is in both parts, when it is just a piece of it in each part. Anytime you have a multipart archive, your open ONLY Part1 and hit extract, and it will automatically extract the files and folders spanned across all parts.

You will see that by opening only part.rar, which is only 4.29 Gb and extracting it, you will end up with 31 Gb total extracted, as it has also extracted all the other parts too.

Thanks! Understood... and it worked perfectly... took 15 minutes to upload into the vehicle. Used PNY USB 3.0 64GB flash drive... very nice!
