Mine is F234847 and I could not see anything related to the suspension there.

Really wanting to try the springs out, so wondering if anyone has installed them without the sport suspension/shocks?

Msport on H&R Super sport

Hey guys, I'm going to be ordering my f30 328 MSport. I do plan on purchasing the Super Sport springs opposed to just sport. Should I? If no..why? Anyone have super sport on an MSport . Pics? Negatives, positives?

Thank you ,

I'm wondering if I should wait for H&R to come out with their Cup Kit for the F30 or if I should just go ahead and get the springs. I had the cup kit on my E46 and it was, in a word, superb! Best performance mod I did to my E46!

So anyone have any thoughts onsprings vs Cup Kit? And should I wait for H&R's release of Cup Kit for F30?

Thanks

Seems like good things with H&R. I am waiting to see when eibach steps into the game. I miss the feel of my e90 compared to these f30s

The adaptive suspension did not appeal to me because of the longevity concerns and the fact that it had very little impact on the ride quality or height.

So now I've just ordered the H&R sport lowering springs and will be installing them next week. Turner Motorsports has already done the same on their 335 and it looks like the best way to go, both for performance and appearance.

Seriously, there is WAY too much body roll in corners (even in Sport +) on the F30 and this might be the most cost-effective way to rectify the problem. My e90 was insane on corners and I always looked forward to taking some back roads to work in order to really put it through the twisties...not so with the F30. Everything else is great, but then I only buy the 3 series so that I can have that experience right up front without having to mod the suspension.

Would like to know what fellow forum members think on the subject of adding aftermarket springs. The Sport Line should be sportier!!
Try cornering through the body roll and the car will plant itself down. These arent m3's. the e90 has plenty of body roll as well. Imo the stock sport suspension would outperform stock shocks with lowering springs. Unless you go all out fully adj coilovers.

Question to all complaining about the suspension. Are you guys tracking the car or taking left and right turns on the street?

Ive been to hpde and autox and i have no complaints. Going to the track next saturday - cant wait.

Esp before the autox i thought it was gonna be a slow day for me with quick turns back to back through slaloms etc because the car is soft and big and bulky. Didnt feel like it and handled like a much smaller car. All i did was replace the run flats with hankook ventus v12. It was much better than running on rfts.

I installed my H&Rs six months ago and they work like a champ. I realize my 328i isn't an M3, but the sport suspension on the F30 is very, very different than my E90 with sport suspension. Now my F30 is much more stable and I absolutely love it, which I didn't for the first few months before the new springs.

I can definitely say that the stock sport set up did not outperform the way it handles now with the H&Rs. I run my car pretty hard through some very twisty roads in the hills here, and I can tell you there is a major improvement with the springs. Now it rides much closer to my E90, but with much more comfort on bad road surfaces. I don't know if you only drove the E90 w/o sport set up, but I can tell you mine had virtually no body roll and I dogged that thing on the open road and in closed circuits. Now my F30 is a more comfortable and quicker version of the old E90. Couldn't be happier.

Agreed (H&R sport with 335i sport)
And if you throw on some summer tires you will see even more improvement.

Absolutely. I ditched the RFTs for high performance summer tires when I swapped the springs. HUGE difference.

For those with the H&R Sports, did you notice any decline in the 'looseness or jitteryness' that the stock sport suspension exhibits when you go over mild bumps/road imperfections while cornering at moderate to aggressive speed? That's my biggest complaint of the sport suspension with adaptive suspension i've noticed thus far... its just not confidence inspiring at all to say the least once some minor bumps are involved, the car feels all over the place and 'cheap' somehow

I guess I'll need to email H&R regarding the use of these on a 328i Sport without sport suspension... If anyone has installed, please comment.

The grip level alone is huge so far over the stockers.

Glad someone else also went w/ the Super Sports. How are the OEM shocks holding up?

Is the ride quality much worse than regular sport or what? Thanks for the info.

It still rides pretty decent on the street. You can tell on severe bumps the shock runs out of travel/rebound at random times, but 95% of the time, its no worry and the care rides nicely

How long do you think the OEM shocks will last on the Super Sports?

Is the ride a lot harsher than m-sport suspension?

Thanks for the help/info!

no way to tell how well the OEM shocks will hold up over time. Most last reasonably long with no problems.

I have yet to drive an M sport back to back, so i cannot chime in there unfortunately.

Looks Great. I have been looking for a good spring for a nice drop. What size wheels do you have? I have 18's and the wheel gap is terrible.

Do you have to get an alignment when you have these installed? Or does installation include an alignment?
