Let's compare gray to gray. Here is an A5 Sline in Daytona Gray
Same Car...Modified with Quad Exhaust

Time flies. I still remember I was drooling over the A5 when it came out.. seemed like it was yesterday. It's already 5 years, and now, the new 4 series look much much better, and probably handle much much better too.

I loved the A5 when it came out but it hasn't aged well, particularly now that Audi seems to be morphing the front end of all its cars into one. Admittedly it still looks good in S-Line form in the right colour. Going to need to see the F32 in the flesh to be certain - overall I love the shape, esp the rear, but the front looks a little, well, 'meh' in these pics. Either way, I'm still getting one |

Audis age very quickly in general. The A5 is not an exception to that. BMWs generally take more getting used to, but tend to hold their looks for longer...
it's all subjective right?

Am I the only one who think that F32 is just the two door F30 It doesn't have any character at all. This is my A5 sb and after I saw concept coupe I couldn't wait to replace it. But now there's no fu**ing way, I might go for Z4 though...

It is amazing how VAG squeeze so many different cars on same or similar chassis. I fear BMW is heading down that road too.
But you're right your A5 there is a 4 door, and the F32 as far as I can see is just a 3 series coupe rebranded, with mild design mods. Without diluting the 3 series, which already has 3 varieties of '4' doors, it's hard to see them match that.

I think the BMW takes it, but it should, the A5 is getting old, lets see what the new one brings.

Good lord... so much fanboyship in here.
Personally gonna reserve my thoughts until I see one in person but to say "The F32 looks 10x better" and such is quite idiotic considering the A5 clearly inspired many of the design aspects of the F32. |

IMO, the big problem with the A5 is the turbo 4 is weak.

No you're not alone. I am waiting for the 4 series to become available at dealerships to confirm that, but the A5 coupe is still a perfect design to me. Too bad it's FWD. |

Why do Audis always look like they were designed by Storm Troopers? The A5 coupe is not a bad looking car by any stretch. It's lines are very clean (like most Audis) and I like that, but that same feature makes it a bit boring and lacking in aggression. We need to see better pics, but I'm pretty sure I would take this 4 series over it. I'm absolutely sure I would take an MSport 4 series or M4 over it.
