Great BMW ! Now make me a smaller 2GC...that's an order!!!

FWIW I really don't give an owl's hoot (i.e. rat's ass) how many iterations BMW offers. As my 'ole engineering prof used to say: "pays yo money and takes your choice." Good advice.

Then do not *** the M3 and call it M4.
There will be an M3. It will just have 4 doors.

Do we have a bunch of art majors on here?

Even numbers- coupes, convertibles, etc.

Makes sense to me.

With the 4GC the 3 series will end up being the "cheaper" car for the masses and the GC for those who know their cars. I guess we'll all be moving to GC in the not so distant future.

Agreed. And more specifically, z4, z8 (a new one would be nice), x3 and x5....no x6 and x4 (if rumors are true).

My real question is will the F36 weigh more than the F30? I believe the 6GC weighs more than the F10.... If so, what's the tradeoff (more output or just style factor only?) If it's style only, count me out...

What's with the extra pillar?

edit: I guess it's normal for the gran coupes. It's wide and ugly.

I think it will look fantastic when it's unveiled, and I totally get why they're making it. I also don't find the numbering confusing.

Thumbs up.

People have revisionist history when it comes to BMW M GmbH. M Division has been much less consistent than people would like to believe.

A Sedan existed during the E36 days. The E90 M3 Sedan is an incredible machine- cheaper than the Coupe, arguably better looking, more practical, and exactly the same performance.

And FWIW, the E46 sedans were arguably better than the coupes. It was a shame they never made an E46 M3.

watching the video makes me think this is going to look a lot better than most people are expecting. Seeing the photos it looks very similar to the F30, but watching the video you can start to see the differences and more 6 series design in it. It will be a really sharp car and anyone with the extra cash that doesn't want something as big as the 5 series (although this will be close) and as good looking as a coupe, this will be a winner. For the pourist, this car will be avoided as it cost more and will weigh more! M3 sedan vs M4 Gran Coupe, the M3 will be cheaper and faster! I would find it hard to believe the M4 gran coupe would look any different interior wise to the M3, so you will be paying probably a $6K premium for the exterior "coupe like" looks.

Having said all that I am glad they are making the Gran Coupe and the M4 GC, but will probably stick with the M3 due to "value"

That thing moves...

I guess you might have to be driving a X6M to get a good look at it.

You forgot the the FWD 1 series family, X4, X7, Z2, and I think they are doing away with the 1 series sedan and are going to stick with just a 2 series GC/ M2 GC for enthusiasts
