It seems like a lot of money for a four year old two litre naturally aspirated car....

Great choice. I had a manual MK5 GTI as a second car as well. Practical and fun.

Its too early but drive is very similar in normal mode .

Some early impressions

I find the GTI is very aggressive to accelerate in Sport mode you really have to keep an eye on the speedometer .

Handling is completely different there is no body roll but the car has way better Suspension setup and DCC Chassis control helps so cant really compare to Plain Luxury BMW . I only have Eibach spring in BMW everything else is standard . Maybe M-sport adaptive is better comparison.

Cabin noise dampening is slightly better in GTI .

Overall very happy with the car , performance pack makes a bit of difference but if go down the APR and Exhaust it will cover the difference easily .

I will be (eventually) making these changes down the line maybe exhaust first and if i feel power is not enough then APR stage 1. At this stage everything is okay since Adelaide is basically a 60 Zone city and i have never felt the urge to prove that i have fast car at lights to fellow Falcadore's .

BMW is way easier to code and idrive is easy to navigate through .

Leather - BMW (dakota) leather is not as good unless opted for Vienna which GTI has and quality is a lot better .

emm What else

Sound very similar and navigation has nice features like zone alert but then BMW's Professional and screen quality is a lot better .
