What size aftermarket wheel with oem runflats
Hey folks, new to the f30 camp here.....
I have a 2014 335 xdrive msport with the perf brakes as you can see in the pic. I complained about the tire condition on my CPO and scored new oem runflats with my stock wheels so I am looking to get some lighter 18" aftermarket wheels and use my stock wheels for the winter with some blizzaks. Now the tires currently on these wheels are: 225/45/18 fronts 255/40/18 rears I assume my oem wheels are staggered, Can somebody confirm width of these wheels and offsets? I would like to run possibly slightly wider 18" wheels with the stock tires (barely stretched if necessary) what size can I/should I do?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

OEM sizing is 18x8 front 18x8.5 rear. You can run 8.5/9.5 wheel widths with those stock tires with very minor stretch, that's what I'd recommend. Stock offsets I believe are ET42 and ET45, but don't quote me on that. For a pretty flush look I'd snag ET35 front and rear on the aforementioned wheel widths |

stock offsets are +34F, +47R
225/45/18 is a 1/2" stretch on 18x8 +35ish for the fronts. 255/40/18 fit best on 18x9 +40ish for the rears. 1/2" stretch on 9.5" wide what is your budget and style of wheel you're interested in? i'd recommend the vorsteiner v-ff 108, apex sm-10, or vs forged if you can afford it... http://vorsteinerwheels.com/wheels/vff-108/ https://www.apexraceparts.com/wheels...-10-wheel.html http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1374395 |

I am looking for a csl style wheel (like a couple of the apex models). I really wanted a VMR csl rep but the guy above just killed that one due to brake clearance! Not looking to break bank on wheels at all so I would say apex wheel price range. |

18x8.5 +35 front 18x9.5 +35 rear (more flush) or 18x9.5 +43 rear (closer to oem track width but not as flush) |

spacers are commonly offered with appropriate sized longer lug bolts for the chosen spacer. personally i hate lug bolts. you may consider a stud kit which makes installing and removing your wheels much easier, however the studs protrude through open end lug nuts so it is not aesthetically pleasing. i'm not sure on the spacer size for flushness. there are numerous other threads/posts regarding this matter. i've read 12mm front 18mm rear but personally i'd do something like 7.5mm front, 12.5mm rear to keep the shear forces on the lug bolts or studs lower. |
