Wheel Clearance

Hi,

I have these brakes on my 15 335i. I have the M Sport package with 18 inch rims.

I previously had a 12 328i that I used 17 inch diameter snow tires on.

Can I use them or do I need 18 inch wheels?

If so, I will be selling a set of Rial Salerno wheels with Michelin PA3 snow tires with about 3,000 miles on them in 17 inch diameter I bought from Tire Rack.

Thanks in advance!!

If you have the optional M-Sport brakes, then the 17" Rial wheels will not fit. The M-Sport brake package requires a minimum of 18" wheels.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I wasn't sure if these were the M Sport brakes or not.

I knew at one point you could order the package and opt out of the brakes. I also heard that the M Sport brakes had a blue caliper with the M logo on them.

If they are, I will be giving you all a call. I've ordered quite a bit from you and have never been disappointed.

I asked the dealership to test fit the old wheels to my car. I'm not sure that happened since the car was sitting exactly where I parked it that day.

I'm looking at the Rial wheels and Pirelli runflats in the 18 inch diameter. I thought they looked awesome on my 2012.

You don't have M Sport brakes; you have the standard 335i brakes which have 340mm front rotors + 4 piston front calipers and 330mm rear rotors + 1 piston rear calipers.

I think some 17" style rims will fit but go 18" to be on the safe side.

All OEM 17" wheels designed for F30 fits over those brakes.

Not sure about the Rial's though, but they might fit.

Thanks for the reply. I checked on the Tire Rack website and it does appear that I will be just fine with the Rial wheels. All I will need to do is upgrade the TPMS because of the difference in the year of the vehicles.

Cheaper than a new set of wheels and tires.

Sorry to raise on old thread, but I have the same brakes on my 330i M-Sport and 17" Rial Salerno wheels just like you had. Did they end up fitting?

Thanks!
