Touchup paint Suggestions

Long story short, someone hit my car in the parking lot. Got the rear passenger door, scuffed it pretty good (think I can buff it out) but also took some paint off in a few small spots.

I'm leaning towards Dr. Colorchip touchup paint, but wanted to get your guys opinions on other brands.

Car's Mineral Grey btw.

You'll need to post some pics. Hard to tell how bad it is.

May want to get the OEM touch paint and clear coat repair since it sounds like it's more than just one spot.

Would have been nice if you'd had caught the bastard! People are the worst.

I've used Dr Colorchip in the past (different car) with great results.

WTF man! :

How in the hell did that happen again? Where the heck are you? Any enemies?

Look, once you get this car fixed, you're going to have to start parking away from people like the rest of us. Not exactly off alone, but away.

Dude, I don't even know.

Nobody respects other peoples car anymore, it's absolutely disgusting. I do my best to not make enemies.

Funny thing is, I always park away from the crowd...and yet this s*** happens.

Damn Aatish, sorry to see that. Can't stand how people can be so selfish. I hope you have uninsured motorist coverage. Guessing you won't need the touchup anymore, but I've had good results from both the OEM and Dr. Color chip products.

Appreciate your feed back on the touchup paint. I think I'll order a couple ounces to keep in the car (along with the rubbing compound, quick detailer, and clay).

Did you get a quote for repair yet? I know those quarter panels are no joy and then the door to boot.

For the Dr. Colorchip touch up paint, would you just buy the paint (in either 1oz or 1/2oz)? Or is there a kit you should buy, or clear coat you'd need to buy separately?

I know you could apply it with a toothpick (as I've heard recommended) but you'd still need the clear coat, right? Or does the paint come with that included?

I'm basically seeing 3 main options:

BMW Touch Up Sticks (is this the same as you'd get from the dealer?)
- ~$30 for what seems like paint and clear coat
-http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/3800/BMW-TOUCH---UP-PAINT-STICKS?CenterId=4677803

Dr. Colorchip
- ~$40 for just the paint
-http://www.drcolorchip.com/store/1-oz-bottle-touch-up-paint.php

BMW Touch Up Paint from Amazon
- ~$40 for 1oz paint and 1oz clear coat
-http://www.amazon.com/BMW-Genuine-Touch-up-Imperial-Metallic/dp/B00APE70ZE/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1444255491&sr= 1-1&keywords=bmw+touchup+paint+imperial+blue

Anyone have experience or opinions?

have the repair shop give you the left over paint. They do it all the time.
