Hi, I don't have my car yet and won't get it til at least mid-December (which is driving me more & more potty).

I was at a nice closed sales event at Dick Lovett in Bristol a couple of weekends ago and made a point of checking tyre spec on a lovely looking 320d M Sport in AW with 19s on 403s. They were fitted with Bridgestone Potenza S001 run-flats.

Guess there maybe be a second type of true out there that could come on the car.

Hope this helps

Dave

PS Is there a drug I can take to ease the pain of not getting my 330d M Sport for 6 weeks ...?

Did you get a good deal at the closed sales event?
I went to a similar event at Dick Lovett Swindon a few weeks ago but didnt get offered a particularly stunning deal - in fact no different than if I'd turned up some other time.

Think BMW only supply non-RFTs on the ED models.

After 12000 miles I'm on 51.4 mpg as average since new, and that's including some 145mph action in Germany

Hi Dopper,

I'd already ordered my car when the event came up. I went so I could take a mate as a guest who was interested in a BMW. He ended up ordering a 125d M Sport on a contract lease deal through his business. Good deal rather than blinding.

This event was more focused on retail punters, rather than business lease. I didn't get the impression any special deals were being done. Think it had more to do with making you feel special. Pretty well staged with impressive decor and a good range of cars.

Wonder if it varies between saloon and touring? Are they built at the same plant?

Yeah - same line. no idea why the tyres are so mixed. There's a thread on it on the yank forum but don't go in there, they're all mad.

I'm hoping I get Bridgestones on mine since they have by FAR the best reviews of the four tyres supplied by BMW

I also have the P-Zero's, removed as the winters are on, so will see how they perform in the coming summer months.
