I know this is a long shot but does anyone know if its possible to replace the standard (faux leather?) automatic shifter and parking brake boots with alcantara ones? I know I can upgrade to the M Perf auto shifter and parking brake set but I am not a big fan of the carbon fiber look. I also do not think the M Perf auto shifter comes with an alcantara boot.

Just looking to subtlely spice up my interior.

Yeah, I have the same idea too. Ordered the M Perf CF shifter but disappoint to know that it didn't have the Alcantara boot like the manual counterpart.

I have the M Perf shifter CF and it did come with the alcantara boot. It came straight from BMW corp but I believe I had to give them s catalog number. Let me know if you want to see pic.

Thank you. Do you have the manual shifter? I believe those come with the alcantara boot but the auto one does not. Since I am not a fan of the M Perf carbon fiber look, I was hoping there was a way I could just get the boots and keep my existing shifter and e brake handle.

Auto. The feel of the CF shifter is different. You can feel the weave.

Both the shifter and the boot trim are CF. it has the weave texture and does illuminate for gear. Took 5 min to install. Blow dryer, pry tool and screw driver.

Ah that's the shift cover trim, not the boot lol. We were talking about the leather boot of the auto shifter. We were hoping that the M perf CF shifter replaces the leather with alcantara as well haha

Anyone doing leather interior work should be able to accommodate this request. Considering how little material is required, it really shouldn't be too expensive.
www.luxmotorwerks.com would be an example of someone doing work like this in the NY-Metro area.
