F30 TPMS warning

upon start up and starting to drive, I receive a tpms malfunction warning indicating it is unable to read tire pressure. the warning stays on for 5 or so seconds then goes away with idrive indicating tpms is active with all wheels are green.

does this mean the sensor is working properly or is incompatible with the car?

It takes a min or so to display info, it's okay.

Yeah, but it's not supposed to do this, is it? I just got new wheels/tires with correct OEM TPMS sensors (checked OEM part no.), and I get this same symptom. Goes away, but comes back next time I start the car. TPMS never seems to reset.
