I'm going to go easy for 500 miles (per BMW...) then I'll report back. In that timeframe I will have the DINAN springs & bumpstops, BBS CI-R wheels and Michelin PS4 tires installed so the car will be ready to rip by then.
Green with envy!!! Waiting for my 340i to arrive. Your mods are right in line with my plans. Car looks awesome!

Decided to complete the interior and pulled the trigger on the M Performance steering wheel. Definitely finishes off the look.

Washed it up last night and went for a 100 mile drive early this morning in rural Pennsylvania. Ripped through some mountain passes... this car continues to impress me.

Hey any update? I’m looking into getting the dinan springs with the ride and handling kit. How do you like it so far?

This car is my DD and I'm saving for an E46 M3, so I'd like to keep the 340i "as reliable as possible" (haha......)

I thought about going Dinan but I'm more intrigued by the AWE system. The MPPSK would be nice, but a tune - even a factory one - is only going to add more stress to the engine. I would like to keep this car for the next 7-10 years.

Maybe I should just keep the stock system a while longer...?
7-10 years? Won't happen. I love our cars as much as anybody else, but that's not realistic

It's solid... nice and firm, especially in Sport+. No huge difference in Comfort mode, which is nice for daily driving. You can tell the springs we're designed for the car and it's OEM suspension which is a huge plus... highly recommended.

Time for more!!!! Just talked with the guys at GMP Performance to get the 340i ready for 2019....

The plan:

Dinan sway bars
Eventuri intake
Brembo high carbon rotors
Hawk Street Race pads
Castrol SRF fluid
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires

Plan is to run this set up for a little, then start looking at flash tunes. I really like the set up from Mission Tuning and a brief email chat has me thinking that's the direction I'll go.

Updates and pictures to follow.

Beautiful car with manual transmission! Bridgestone run flat tires are near the bottom of run flat tires when it comes to road noises and harshness. Any plans to replace tires at some point?

PS. Late to read this thread but better late than never to appreciate a great car.

Those runflats came off the week I brought the car home!!

I've been running Michelin Pilot AS 3+ on the OEM wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's on my BBS CI-R set up.

More to come on the tune front soon 😎

havent heard too many glowing reviews on the short shifter kits for these cars.

After much thought and deliberation I opted to go for the MPPSK and I had it fitted up earlier in the week.

I was also strongly considering the Mission Performance Stage 1 tune, but I chose MPPSK due to the factory warranty, and once that's up, I'll be going with a downpipe and the MP Stage 2 set up.

I was also considering running my AWE cat back instead of the BMW system, but I ultimately went with the BMW system so that I could try it out and see how it runs.

The short term review is that the AWE is hands down the better system, but the BMW system is nice, and having the dual valves is pretty cool - although I'm always in Sport+ so they're always open.

The torque and power gains the from BMW DME flash are very nice. They're very evident under heavier throttle input, yet subtle in terms of overall driveability. You can tell BMW really put thought into it.

I'm looking forward to my trip to GMP in a few weeks to have the Eventuri intake, sticky tires and brake set up installed... she's coming alive for the summer season!!

Pictures to follow!

When I bought the car I was working as a sales rep, driving 25-30k miles per year. I couldn't justify an M-car with those kind of miles...

Six months after I bought the car I changed jobs and now I ride my bike 1 mile to work each day... life is funny like that.

Anyway, so here I am with the 340i... I've considered trading it but it's such a loss right now to do so.

I have my eye on a 718 GTS, I think that will be the move in a few more years. I'll enjoy the F30 for now.
