That's the exact reason why we get M sport.

Concur. The current Lexus IS350 is based on a 7-year old platform, so it's not really a fair comparison. Lets wait until next year when the new IS comes out. It's rumoured to be based on the Scion FR-S platform that is getting rave reviews for it's handling. I expect the 2013 IS would be more of a challenge to the F30 than the one dating back to 2005.

Did some trolling on Walenius's website (the car shipping company) and I think we're going to be on the Asian Vision, departing 10/31 from Port Elizabeth, arriving in Bremerhaven 11/21. From there I'm on the Turandot getting to Georgia on 12/10. If they ship yours to CA by boat (not truck it across country) then yours will probably leave Bremerhaven on 11/29 coming into Port Hueneme on 12/26 on the boat the Glorious Leader. When it ships your client advisor (dealer) can tell for certain - right now I'm just looking at the shipping schedules to see what makes sense. |

i know someone who has the new one. its nice if you like all the standard features and such. i checked it out when it came out, but its even slower than the original (unless you get the v6). not a fan of the grill either. the original one was fun and light and small, really fun for a fwd car. if acura still made cars like that original one, i'd say they'd be doing better mindshare wise than they are now. i suppose i've moved on to well german cars but for what it is the TSX was nice. the new one lacks the sportiness and is just bigger (materials arent really better, and it kind of looks funny). so i am not sure who'd buy it, since the 2013 accord has a better engine and cost less and is about the same size. not like acura is prestige at all so it doesnt really have a market now |

That was my issue with the IS350 back in 2006. But today and tomorrow, less so since manual boxes are trending the way of the dodo bird (e.g., Porsche GT3 and next gen M5 will not offer manual). All my cars I've ever bought have been manuals but when cars with the new sequential boxes are faster and better fuel economy, I'm about 50/50 on whether my next car will be manaul... assuming it's even available as an option.

Quite a few of my mates have had a Lexus before and what I constantly hear the winge is in regards to that they are neither here nor there.
IMO I would say that if I were going for luxury (abit more classier interior and not too concerned about power) MB or Audi would fit this category. For abit more fun BMW |

Me neither, I spent a little bit of time on Club Lexus contemplating a 2008 IS350, (See Signature) and they all seem to think it will be very very similar to the new GS in production now..
