I placed my order at Stevens Creek BMW. First I went to Fremont BMW since we leased our 128i there, and it's 5 mins from my house, but the deal they have offered us was terrible. 13' 328i MSRP 49K $550 a month with 4k down. I was like we can lease a 335i with that price. Went to the SC BMW a week after got a deal for BMW 335i M sport MSRP 55K $570 amonth with 4k down. Mine is SA built! no open slot for Germany, and Plus Me and Wife wants to have it before our current lease ends.

I ordered at 9/15, now it's at port waitting for a ship. How about urs??

What's ur config?? AT??MT? COLOR?

That's the exact reason why we get M sport.

Concur. The current Lexus IS350 is based on a 7-year old platform, so it's not really a fair comparison. Lets wait until next year when the new IS comes out. It's rumoured to be based on the Scion FR-S platform that is getting rave reviews for it's handling. I expect the 2013 IS would be more of a challenge to the F30 than the one dating back to 2005.

Mine's also SA built waiting on a ship - guess we'll be on the same boat, at least to Bremerhaven (I'm going to Brunswick GA from there according to the order sheet - Port Loc: SSIPOA)

Did some trolling on Walenius's website (the car shipping company) and I think we're going to be on the Asian Vision, departing 10/31 from Port Elizabeth, arriving in Bremerhaven 11/21. From there I'm on the Turandot getting to Georgia on 12/10.

If they ship yours to CA by boat (not truck it across country) then yours will probably leave Bremerhaven on 11/29 coming into Port Hueneme on 12/26 on the boat the Glorious Leader. When it ships your client advisor (dealer) can tell for certain - right now I'm just looking at the shipping schedules to see what makes sense.

Btw how is the tsx? The new ones are kinda nice to me.

i know someone who has the new one. its nice if you like all the standard features and such. i checked it out when it came out, but its even slower than the original (unless you get the v6). not a fan of the grill either. the original one was fun and light and small, really fun for a fwd car.

if acura still made cars like that original one, i'd say they'd be doing better mindshare wise than they are now. i suppose i've moved on to well german cars but for what it is the TSX was nice. the new one lacks the sportiness and is just bigger (materials arent really better, and it kind of looks funny). so i am not sure who'd buy it, since the 2013 accord has a better engine and cost less and is about the same size. not like acura is prestige at all so it doesnt really have a market now

My car was loaded on the boat on 10/25/12, and I am not sure it's from WWL shipping company or not. The boat name is Dignity Ace. My car will be at Port Hueneme on 12/11 confirmed by my CA. Let me know if you are on the same boat.

Yeah, she doesn't look like a WWL boat. Haven't heard yet if I've gotten on a boat yet - hope so

Looks like you're on the move though

My bad, you are correct. I meant the 2014 model, probably available Autumn of 2013.

That was my issue with the IS350 back in 2006. But today and tomorrow, less so since manual boxes are trending the way of the dodo bird (e.g., Porsche GT3 and next gen M5 will not offer manual). All my cars I've ever bought have been manuals but when cars with the new sequential boxes are faster and better fuel economy, I'm about 50/50 on whether my next car will be manaul... assuming it's even available as an option.

Lexus quality is excellent and the new IS will be a strong competitor to the 3 series i'm sure.

Quite a few of my mates have had a Lexus before and what I constantly hear the winge is in regards to that they are neither here nor there.

IMO I would say that if I were going for luxury (abit more classier interior and not too concerned about power) MB or Audi would fit this category. For abit more fun BMW

The FR-S/BRZ is on the Subaru [s]Impreza[/s] Legacy platform. IMHO I don't think Lexus will use that platform for the next IS...

Me neither, I spent a little bit of time on Club Lexus contemplating a 2008 IS350, (See Signature) and they all seem to think it will be very very similar to the new GS in production now..
