that's about right..... my car just went into production and it should be done by 5/11, and then the long wait really starts it's about 2 month wait for it to arrive in California.
this is the 4th car I've built and waited over two months to take delivery.

Just ordered a 2018 440i!

Black Sapphire on Coral Red with Carbon Aluminum trim.

Aside from that I didn't tick off any other options or packages. In Canada the 440 comes equipped with what is most important to me which is the M Sport Package and Nav. Im glad because the 440i is at the top of my budget.

Im moving up from a 2014 328ix. Great car overall, but I'm definitely not a fan of xdrive or the soft suspension 👎

After owning BMWs pretty much non-stop from the mid-80s and then jumping to Audi for the past six years, I'm coming home. Most important, I'm getting back into an MT.

I ordered a 440i xDrive today for an early-September ED (I didn't want to get in the middle of the crazy European summer drive season). It'll be my sixth ED. The car's pretty much fully loaded except for a few small bits, and then a bunch of M-Performance accessories which I've learned have to be dealer- rather than port-installed due to the ED.

Hey guys, just a quick update. My car left Germany today and is En Route to the US, 17 days after it went into production. I wanted to give some insight into my timings and price I received. Apparently when I purchased the car in April, there were some good deals, and it FEELS like a good deal, so that's what counts.

Final MSRP from build above - $51,650
They gave me a 7k discount, and then since there was an original mix up with my build, took an additional 1k off for a total of 8k off the MSRP.

So, $51,650 minus $8,000 is $43,650 final price.

Insert Taxes ($3000), Tire Fee ($6), Registration fee ($410), Documentation Fee ($600)

My 2018 430i Snapper Rocks Blue with Essentials, Premium, M Sport, Track Handling, Upgraded Harmon Kardon and Black Grille:

FINAL PRICE $47,667

And using the handy post in these forums, I was actually able to find the ship my car is on, and date of discharge in NJ. ETA 5/24!!

I didn't qualify for Corp/AARP/Military, etc...he mentioned that April was an amazing time for incentives and that specific location in NJ also had some unique incentives.
Originally it was 7k, but they made some mistakes on the phone to me when I was placing my order (track handling package mishap), so they took an extra 1k off, to total 8k in savings.

I used the method of working with multiple dealers via text and email. I sent them my build code from BMWUSA.com and asked for quote. Got a range of discounts and then also probed for incentives ($2,500 buy incentive right now). I landed on the following.

MSRP = 57,840 + 995 dest = 58,835
Buy incentive - 2,500
Dealer discount - 4,050
Final price - 52,285. (Not too bad although had this car been on the lot i could have done better)

I also had the dealers compete on what allocation slot they had. Not a perfect science as these slots usually don't have hard dates on them. BUT I wanted to avoid a dealer giving me a good price but then not having a slot for a month or so. Turns out I got pretty lucky as the dealer who committed a slot was right before it was going production. So I ordered mine Friday 5/19 and it went into Production status today 5/23! Much faster than I expected....

6/1 update. Car at the port awaiting a boat to US!

What we REALLY need you to do is to take your car down to Dinan and leave it there for two weeks so they can get the 440 xDrive GC springs figured out. Hard for me to believe someone from out west hasn't done that yet. The single thing I'm not in love with about my new build is the wheel gap.

I've also got to think we could talk them into giving you several more goodies. I know they were also looking to tweak the exhaust/midpipe to make sure everything was in line of for the GC.
