Recently had my 2014 328i 6MT in for service and while there mentioned that the iDrive was randomly rebooting. They updated the software on the car from a 2014 version to whatever the latest and greatest is. But the update created a host of new problems. The biggest issue is the engine shuddering under load now between 2500-3000rpm. The service department has thrown plugs and new coilpacks at the car but the problem remains. The car also feels down on power in general. The car isn't throwing any codes so that complicates things as well. I'm just curious if anyone else out there has experienced anything similar. ASD is also broken now after the update.

This is my first, and at this point, probably last BMW. I've been back to the dealer half a dozen times trying to get this sorted. The dealer's position now is to just wait for the next software update, but I have little confidence that it will resolve the issue.

Dealer probably installed the wrong software. I had my software updated once in my E92, and when I got back in I had some weird idrive menu with my satellite radio missing. Asked the dealer where my Sirius went and their response was: Are you sure you had it? I said yes... I drove here listening to it.

Call BMWNA right away. Have them handle this.
