Picked up my 328i xDrive today (canadian model). I got a good deal on it because it was an early 2014 model when they didnt come with navi as standard option.

What i didnt notice until tonight though is that theres no alarm/panic button on the remote, and there's no red trim on the dash (though i like it better, its a glossy black)

does anyone else have the same model with no red trim and no panic button? im trying to find out if the lack of panic button means that there is no alarm

Welcome aboard Kayzer,

For the Alarm - It usually comes with the Premium Package. Also you can tell if you have the alarm if you have the clown nose (red light) underneath the rearview mirror. If you don't have the clown nose, you have no alarm.

For the red trim, Sportlines had a choice between gloss black or red highlights. Also if the car had the wood trim, it would be the silver trim. However all Sportlines have the red stitching on the wheel. And that same stitching on the doors and seats if the black interior was chosen.

thanks for the detailed answer! yeah the red stitching was there, just wanted to be 100% i was getting what the base sport line was supposed to come with (minus navi which i knew about)

reading the manual tonight to learn as much as i can :-)

True that! Though when I was comparing the X1 and the F30, I couldn't believe that the X1 had the Alarm optional for $350. And most dealers with the X1 didn't even HAVE the Alarm equipped!

i just noticed too my headliner is light grey when the sport line now comes with anthracite..... guess a lot changed between the feb 201 and post april 14 productions
