What other functions can be coded?
you dont have enough posts for me to pm you but it isnt possible to do that.
i believe its possible to have all doors unlock when you turn the engine off (never tried but it was an option for the E series cars)
you can also have:

-windows roll up from key/comfort access
-fold/unfold mirrors when you lock/unlock doors
-dvd in motion (if you have navigation)
-enable audio through apple white cable (instead of the y cable you get from bmw. this also gives you album arts)
-set auto stop start to default off or default last setting (instead of default on every time you turn on the car)
-change cluster and idrive navigation (most languages can be donem asian languages cannot be done)
-amber delete (turn off yellow signal lights while driving)
-remove legal disclaimer
-turn on/off corner assist (fog lights turn on in the direction you are signalling/turning your wheel to)
-digital speedo in cluster (can set to mph or km/h through settings)

and some other stuff can be done as well, check the coding forums to see what available options there are

I am new to the forum. Just recently leased a 2013 328i xDrive.

Do I need to "decode" the car to revert back to the default setting when I return the leased car?

no when you return your car to dealer after the lease they recondition your car back to stock and that will remove everything for them

Is it possible to have the car starts with the ECO PRO mode or the last mode driven?

Mine starts with COMFORT every single time.

I think the default setting is COMFORT mode. However, I would rather have it on SPORT mode by default or last mode driven.

Hopefully this can be coded.

eco pro has been done in the f10
I don't believe there is the option for it to start in sport mode

Got lost trying to find it in code sticky (150pgs+) but I recall someone stating that it was possible to set mode defaults. I've a sport model and would like the comfort mode to have sport steering and suspension settings (but not auto shift points) - is this fact or fiction? Also, did anyone find a way to disable speed limiter (it's an option from factory with summer tires)
Thx

Check you vin at http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html, if you have 609 [Navi. Pro] and 693 [Sate. Prep.] then you can retrofit with the purchase of FSC code.

http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-...radio-retrofit

If you want 1 year everything Sirius and remote coding done for you.

$185 for the FSC code alone otherwise.

How does this work? I have the 609 & 693 on my car. If I go through that site listed, will they do the coding for the retrofit as well?

Yes, they will send you the coding program and cable required. Once you received everything and have the software set up, connect your laptop to the internet and your car at the same time. They will remote control your computer and code your car for you.

If you are interested in what actually goes on, read on

Basically you need to change your vehicle's FA (factory order) and modify 693 (sate prep) to 655 (sate) and FA program your HU_CIC (your idrive module), however, EGS (company responsible for BMW ECU) decided they didn't want people to do this for free so they made it a requirement to have a FSC unlocking code imported before proper 655 coding can be done. Now, FSC code is sold in bmw parts but for a premium.

I actually changed my VO from 693 to 655 and coded HU_CIC based on that change on my SALAPA element just to see what happens. It doesn't ask for the FSC code at any point and it all seems to goes through fine - you will actually see all the buttons and menus for satellite radio but nothing seems to be functional.

If I can figure out how to input the FSC code, is it just $185 for the code and I just need to pay monthly for the subscription?

Sorry for the late replay, if you are still wondering, you are are exactly right. The import part is easy too, nothing fancy.
