Surely we want to see the highest 'starting' prices for used stock, or it doesn't bode well for the future used market and residual values.

Nice! If I can flog mine for that and its got 10k less miles and newer I'd hardly of paid anything for 18months of ownership!

What deal did you get on yours? Did you go through Tony - TRL?

The cheapest 340i M Sport Touring on Autotrader is £32k with 8k miles and on a 16 plate.

At those second hand prices you may as well Buy brand new for a little more with a decent discount.

The funny thing is that the same dealership offered me just £24k for my F31 340i (Mar 16 with 12K miles) 3 months ago against a new 5 Touring!

I guess that's why we call them stealers :-)

No through a broker who got an even better price. this was early 2016 though so prices have increased but still if I could flog mine for 32k now I'd bite their hand off.

OP, at the risk of playing Top Trumps Stealer Giraffes...

I've drawn this 440i to the attention of the forum before. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...at_cars&page=1

Might make a good thread in fact! I can't be arsed but if anyone wants to create one that seeks the largest disparity between Asking vs Realistic I'd be a regular contributor

Arr yes that one. It'll probably still be for sale till after Christmas............ by that point the dealer might catch on that prospective buyers are buying M4's for cheaper money.

I noticed this one when I was looking the other day. How long has it been up at this price?

Perhaps they're trying not to sell it :

Gotta be a month at least. Cooper have recently implemented a new group-wide centralised pricing system that does make mistakes. I know this from a recent visit to Cobham wherupon I pointed out a couple of errors in heir stock and that was what the sales guy told me.

Hmm perhaps they haven't spotted this error ...

If it is a genuine price then it's borderline delusional. You'd have to really want it at that price and the depreciation hit would be huge.Still one born every minute.

Would be interesting to see how much they'd budge on that price.
