Wish i found this earlier and tried it on my e90. Just bought the "original" off the ebay seller as it looks better constructed (comparing the pics) than the one offered by BMS.

It does feel a bit more solid.

Will the one with a threaded bolt and nut one work for a 2013 6MT?
I ordered one for my 2013 F30 from and received the one with the metal threaded bolt and nut instead of the one listed in the picture.

Appreciate your help with this.

So you did not like how this mod completely removed the over travel in the clutch?!??

I recenty got in a stock 2009 M3 and could not believe how spongy the stock clutch felt compared to my "paltry" 335i with this mod.

Well, to each his own I guess.

nut and bolt?? post a pic lets see.

nut and bolt might be a little harder to install because of the angle. the first one on the left is the stock one and just like the others its a simple push in and play.

I installed it a couple of days ago. Works great. It really improves the shifting experience. Thanks to the thread starter for bringing this to my attention!

Finally put mine in.

I found I was unable to drive the F30 buttery smooth before, nowhere near as smooth as I am on the E36/7.

Bam, with the clutch stop, the take up in relation to catch point are similar to the E36/7 and my shifts feel very smooth and more sporting.

Two thumbs up from me on BMS short throw clutch stop! It took me only a few drives to get used to the shorter clutch pedal travel, and now it feels like the car should have come with it from the factory. I like it a lot!

I just installed mine as well. It must have taken all of 30 seconds - after reading all the instructions for about 10 mins . The result is fantastic. Very highly recommended. I'm really pleased I found this thread.

I ordered this tonight from BMS for my 08 328i. I find the clutch has way more travel than it needs to.

Looking forward to this mod very much.

Not noticed much benefit to mine I had to remove two of the four washers otherwise the car wouldn't start, I assume because the clutch sensor isn't being activated as the clutch pedal isn't engaged enough. Do you guys in the US not have this problem?

I am pleased I have found this thread as the long clutch throw is one of the few things I have disliked about my car.

I have just ordered one and would like to thank the op for posting this

I had exactly the same problem (UK car). I ended up taking it off again as I had to remove all but one washer and it wasn't making any difference except to make the car erratic to start unless I pushed really hard on the clutch pedal.

the clutch throw must be a lot shorter than in the US. I used all washers with no issues.
