Is this ticking normal? I feel like it’s a new noise that wasn’t there before and I can’t help but notice it when driving now. I know injector tick is particularly loud on these but I didn’t hear this before a day or two ago?

Sounds like injector/HPFP tick. Completely normal. You were lifting the cover which is going to make it louder. Do you still have the insulation/ sound deadening foam under the cover?

The cover still has the sound deadening, though I did take it off to try and see if I could work out where the noise was coming from.

I hadn’t noticed the noise before, definitely not while in the cabin but then with the injector issue that I had to have sorted out maybe I’m misremembering.
