sounds like they are reprogramming all 340i's
should be soon, if your dealer is near the VDC, as soon as its done it should get to the dealer. my car was released to trucking in the morning and was at the dealer in the afternoon.

I'm wondering if this is due to my rebooting iDrive issue (which is quite severe - the car drives great, but all the other features are basically unusable). My sales guy told me this is affecting a lot of F3x cars built within the last few months. They told me that there is new software coming on 11/30 that's supposed to deal with it. Wonder if that's what yours is waiting for?

From what you describe it certainty sounds like an issue that BMW would want taken care of before delivery since idrive is core to much of the vehicles functionality. My ca said they have the software (for what I don't know) at the VPC and the car is waiting to get it but I'm not so sure. I would think 10 days would be enough to get through lots of cars so maybe they are waiting for it like yours. Maybe Dec leasing programs will be even better and there will be some benefit.

damn the 340i is better in every way than the old 328 except for the MPG.
