Remove the iDrive trim

Hi,

Is there any easy way to remove the iDrive trim? I found it is quite tight and I can't hardly use a pry tool to insert into the gap between the trim and the car console.

I'm thinking about using a thin thread to slot into the gap and then pull up the trim from the top side.

Any good idea?

You really should just be able to pop a trim tool underneath it on the sides and pop it up.

Thank you! Yes, using a thin enough trim tool underneath can easily pop it up. Finally it is out.

I think starting at the middle of the iDrive controller trim will be easier because it is looser there and easier for you to insert the pry tool.
